The best I have found in 10 years
I had a radical proctectomy July 2013 and after that many things are different. I leak, but not bad unless my liquid intake is excessive and also if I'm standing, as in a bar drinking beer. I've tried almost every pad. I liked the Rite Aid generic the best till the Because pads. When these came I was a little disappointed since they are not puffy and thick like the others, but the ad says they will hold 2 cups of liquid. I got two bowls, put a Depends in one and a Because in the other. I added measured water to each slowly so they would have time to absorb. They both toke the two cups and were huge in size, but difference was the Depends when I squeezed it the water dripped out and the Because brand held the water in and didn't drip. Instead of cotton batting the other brands use, Because brand does something that soaks up and retains the fluid. If you try these you will see an inner shield. You have to stay inside the blue target area and the inner shield or you will side leak. That inner sheath acts like a funnel and keeps the urine in the absorbing area. I wish they were a little wider, even though these are 5 1/2 wide and a Depends in 5" wide, so they are wider, but I find I must look and see the blue target and make an effort to be inside that inner sheath area before leaving the toilet and I'm just average size, nothing big. In trying to put a time factor on when these will fail is hard, because a few hours of standing, having good BS and drinking several beers will make any pad fail and I have filled a Because brand pad up almost brimming but it didn't leak, but I have side leaked one, because I didn't stay in the blue area. Carrying an extra is an easy solution. My everyday, around the house, pad is the Amazon Essential, since being at home is different. I will go back and read the negative reviews , but I think this is real good pad if you stay in the blue area. I'm 75.

Okay for a dribble but nothing more
2 cups is not a lot. I'm not even sure it collected two cups. In short, it leaked. There is a wide tape band to hold it in place, but it doesn't work well with all types of undergarments - particularly boxers. If you're a tightey-whitey then you're likely okay. Small enough to be discreet. In rehab, the pull up undergarments worked better.
