Q: Is this helmet excellent or just ok quality. Will be in the desert in a few months.

It's a standard pith helmet, made of lightweight plastic. It is very durable, and it is cool even in the hot sun when I'm working in my yard. But it's hard to call something this toy-like "excellent." I would say that it is probably adequate for your needs.

Q: Does this hat come in green? It says it does in the color option but the photos show only white and khaki.

Yes, this is also available in olive drab green.

Q: Looking for a cork pith helmet, can't seem to find one, can you provide a link to one?

Rothco does not make a cork pith helmet.

Q: Is it hdpe foam, or solid?

Solid, and quite durable. I bought the helmet for some head protection when bumping into branches and for UV protection. It is not rated for safety protection, but it does provide some protection from the occasional head bump.
