Quite pleased with the sharpness and hardness of these bits. Good variety of profiles, too. We've used one bit more extensively than the others, and while it doesn't feel as sharp to the fingertips, it still chews up the mild steel.Would buy again, and recommend.

Purchased these to use with my Makita rotor and they worked flawless, The teeth were solid and did not break or had any issues shaping the wood. These work very effective I just had to keep an eye on the heat as to not burn the wood too much, a good combination of speed and pressure does the job.

A good buy for a higher quality set. These are perfect for drimmel tools. Testing reveals a high amount of Cobalt making them very strong and stay sharp. Would buy again.

Have been gearing up my tool kit as i'm tired of using my dremel to rasp or burr things.Most of my work with these has been with step-bits, where you need a tapered hole but not necessarily the stages.While they have step-bits that aren't staged and more of a cone, i like to the steps in order to help with knowing what size you've gone up to. Also tend to find those cut/drill quicker and hold an edge better.after the hole is made, then i use a rasp like these to take out the stages. There are other things i use these for, like dimple, or quickly grind an edge. If you're looking for something like this then you already know what you'll be using it for. When using this with my drill or drill press, i haven't had a single issue and they work just as well as the ones i lost from sears.In the board with 3 holes, you can see the far left is quickly rasp and the stages are removed, unlike the middle hole that still has it.i also did a few edge grinds and direct placement of the round head, in order to show that they all work as expected.all of this was done with my hand drill, but after doing these pictures i did do a little work on the drill press, only easier since i can have two hands on the wood i'm working with. I however didn't take any photos of that, as it put the camera away and on charge.

I will be making a lot of carvings with this rasp set. For power carving with a flex shaft tool, this is a great starter set. You have all the basic cutters to help you rough out your projects. You will want to get other types of cutters to do fine details and finishing work. For hogging out and general shaping, these are your cutters.

About as good as you think a 12 dollar bit would be.
