Worked great. Yes it is an 1 1/2 thick but that’s good. Need that for the knob. Just center it.

Great product delivered as advertised. I was able to modify my existing gate which did not have a lockset on it by cutting the frame large enough to fit and weld this lock box in. This box accepted my Schlage WiFi enabled lock so now I can control who has access through the gate and can monitor if the gate is locked or not. I can also control the lock on my gate now to allow access to my pool by the pool service company. Couple this with my backyard and pool cameras, I can keep an eye on my pool and back yard.

This box is a welders dream.easy to instlll on my gate.easy way to install dead bolt to the box.just love it.I bought more of them.

I was able to modify a gate frame to accept this box. I have wooded posts so the stop flange had to be removed so the deadbolt lined up in the middle of the post. If you are handy it is an affordable way to add a deadbolt to your gate.

A bit costly if you compare it to hardware store prices but it gets the job done!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this to use on my homemade gate. Excellent quality material and welds. It wld have gotten a 5 star had it of been about an 1/8" wider to match my square tubing and the stop bracket a little thicker. Didnt take much to bend it. I will post a pic once i'm completely done with the gate.

Purchased a man gate for my pool, cut the frame and welded this box in, fit perfectly. Then purchased a Master Lock commercial leverset, and it was a perfect match.
