Most important factor about this product, make sure you follow the instructions provided. It tells you step by step.
Love love LOVE this product! The finish, the shine, the metallic additive gives it almost a 3-D dimensional look. I recommend after applying the product thoroughly, to give it a design so when it moves while it settles, the finished product will have a one of a kind look. Ours floors finished to look like a 3-D rock look. We did this by making a lower case cursive "e" throughout. What I didn't like about the product was that the box states each kit will cover 100-125 square ft. This is not true. Our room was 120 square feet and it took 2 kits, all the way to the last drop! The kits aren't cheap, so do the math on the square footage before you invest in this kit. Though if you do, you will love it!It does scratch easily though, so make sure you don't roll anything heavy over it.

Easy to Use
Excellent product, easy to use, looks and works great! Just spend the extra time and prep-prep-prep the floor thoroughly prior to applying. I’ve had it down for three months now and it still looks great!Note : I used Metallic Gun Metal Grey with one kit of Metallic Silver. It’s darker and shoes foot prints and tire marks, however they wipe off with a micro fiber or Swifter. The darker color also shows dust and debris too. Still love the look and wouldn’t change a thing.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE GOING TO WALK ON IT...
It is beautiful the first two days but that is it. I used eight kits and took a week to prep a two car garage. I did a fantastic job applying it and poured it very heavily. When it dried I waited an extra two days to walk on it with shoes. Then let my son slide around on it with his pajamas, he loved it. The next day I looked and it is scratched to hell. Just from pajamas, no sand, no shoes, no cars, no nothing but pajamas. Then I put my work bench in and a stool, bad idea... I will be covering with carpet now because I'm sure it will be a pain to remove. Eight kits at $100.00 is not cheap. No buffing this crap out, please see pictures. Literally two days folks, I would be so mad if I used in a bedroom or livingroom. DO NOT BUY!!!

Double the amount
The product is nice, the color was gorgeous. It’s a very thin liquid and spreads out pretty thin. Double what you are covering, so if you need two boxes, get four. I only needed 2 for what the footage said I needed, but it didn’t cover well. I could still see concrete through the floor coat. I had to order more as soon as possible and re coat it. I ordered 3 more to cover it better. Now it looks great. It’s just a barn floor so I didn’t worry about fixing cracks or raised concrete areas. Otherwise it’s something you would want to make sure you fix before coating.

Gunmetal Grey-189 sq ft (one car garage)
Gunmetal Grey: watch YouTube videos on how to use this product. It makes it MUCH easier. I didn’t have to scrape the old paint off with acid OR sanding. As long as it’s level and no paint is chipping you’re ok. CLEAN! I scrubbed my floor twice to make sure nothing came up and no residue was left make sure it is dry throughout the area. DONOT use a liquid concrete sealer it won’t bond to the epoxy it will bubble of its any larger than patching a hole the size of a quarter. Go grab a tub of cement patching either Home Depot/Lowe’s/even order on Amazon. Much easier to use with a small pudy knife to patch the small holes. You have a bit longer than 40min before it gets hard to manage but you can still double back if need be to patch up. Apply generously as you should have double the kits required for an any area. My one car garage is 189sq ft and (2) one car garage kits were plenty (some colors offer different sizes) use one package at a time and definitely use a foam roller if not a squeegee. Toss out the roller that comes with the kit, it leaves lint. This epoxy product has a consistency like maple syrup and will NOT fill in holes like some may say. Prep work is everything!

New formula, the color is now different.
Like other reviews, mine is mixed. This company has tried their darnedest to make this an easy product, but in doing so has taken a lot of control away from the person applying the product and made my floor a bit of a headache to correct. They’ve recently modified the process and changed the color of the product. Rather than mixing mica powder into the mixture, the epoxy now comes pre-colored. The color is darker than the original product. The original was gun metal, I’d call the new color onyx (but they still sell it as gun metal). Why did they do this? I’m guessing to make it easier for DIYers. Less mixing. I’m guessing they darkened the formula because consumers were complaining that this product doesn’t provide enough coverage. Rather than changing the recommended coverage on their packaging they’ve simply added more pigment.I was excited to be able to adjust the pigment in this product myself knowing that the powder comes separately. I actually like the look of concrete and I appreciated that a bit of concrete still showed under this product. Now that they’ve mixed the cobalt pigment (which they still call gun metal) into the epoxy, there is not finessing the application (unless you buy additional boxes of clear and mix them together).I spent over 2k on this product for my garage floor. 14 boxes of “gun metal” and 6 boxes of clear for a top coat. Lucky me, I received 7 boxes of the onyx colored epoxy and 7 boxes with the unmixed gun metal powder. My dear husband was my assistant and he’s not an artist. He didn’t realize that since this company changed their formula (without notifying customers) we should mix the two different products (marketed as the same product by the manufacturer) or randomize the application so the borders weren’t so noticeable. He gave me 7 gun metal in a row and then 7 onyx (again, the manufacturer still calls it gun metal). What I have is a garage that is half onyx/half gun metal. Luckily for me, I have two packets of the product left over. I will do a skim coat to try to blend the differences in my two-tones floor. The onyx (marketed as gun metal) looks like a nightclub floor, by the way. I much prefer the original formula, which has the lighter powder separate from the epoxy. So, all in all, just buy a professional epoxy instead of this stuff. Grind and then powerwash your floors beforehand. Give your floor a week to dry prior to applying the professional epoxy (not this stuff).p.s. Although I used a heat gun to pop all visible bubbles during application, my floor has bubble everywhere. No big deal for me. I’ll sand them. Just a heads up. If you bring your floor this stuff will seep deeply and you’ll have some bubbles. Lightly sand and lightly recoat or apply a clear top coat and keep the heat gun handy.I’ll update this review as the months wear on.
