Amazing! Excellent Non-Stick Titanium Ceramic Frying Pans!
Quick Update, as of March 26, 2017: It is now almost 10 months since I ordered these pans. After having owned these pans for over 9 months now, I can say that the two pans are still performing so well that if I could give this product ten (10) stars instead of the maximum 5 stars currently allowed by Amazon, I would do so. Perhaps the strangest thing about these two pans is that starting about a month after I had first purchased them, everyone in the house -- including even our overnight visitors -- stopped using all of the other frying pans in the house (most of them well-conditioned cast iron pans, and also one teflon-coated pan) and also ceased using stainless steel pots to quickly heat food or to reheat leftover meals from the fridge, and instead switched to solely using these two pans, simply because nothing ever sticks to them (ever see how badly egg and cheese omelet leftovers stick to a stainless steel pot if you try to use if for reheating them? ... it is quite gross, whereas if you put that same food in one of these ceramic coated pans, it reheats quickly with ZERO sticking!). So, I, along with everyone else in my house, love these pans more than ever now that we have been using them each many times per day for nearly a year! Simply amazing pans! They are truly nonstick! My Original Review I purchased two of these Gotham Steel non-stick titanium ceramic frying pans, one in the 9.5" diameter size and one in the 12.5" diameter size, a few weeks ago. I am a trained scientist and engineer, and thus i am not easily amazed by consumer kitchenware products that claim to be non-stick. However, I am amazed by the performance of these pans after 3.5 weeks of having used them daily. I want to briefly mention that I was an early adapter/user of the so-called non-stick ceramic frying pan technology back around 2010 when the very first generation of "non-stick" ceramic frying pans hit the market. I bought one of those early first-generation products back in late 2010 -- it was a "Green" brand frying pan bearing a so-called "green" so-called non-stick ceramic surface. That pan turned out to be horrible from the very first use; everything stuck to it, and when I complained to the "Green" manufacturer,, they acknowledged the problem, and advised that I condition the pan, using hot oil and an oven, in the same fashion that a cast iron pan is conditioned, to try to make it more non-stick, Needless to say, I immediately abandoned that first-generation "non-stick" ceramic frying pan, and resolved to wait at least 5 to 6 years before purchasing another non-stick ceramic pan so that the ceramic technology could mature over the years. Indeed, my purchase of the two Gotham Steel pans in late July of 2016, about 4 weeks ago, came about only because I was convinced, after having done some careful research on the web, that the non-stick ceramic frying pan technology had matured greatly over the past 6 years. It is my impression that the non-stick ceramic pans currently on the market -- including the Gotham Steel titanium ceramic pans -- are using approximately sixth-generation non-stick ceramic technology, and it appeared from my research that this latter-generation non-stick ceramic technology was far better than the first-generation product that I had tried back in 2010.. Each of these pans has seen use multiple times per day since they arrived here about 3+ weeks ago, and they are still performing perfectly. Nothing ever sticks to the pan surface to any noticeable degree, and post-cooking cleanup of the pans takes just a few seconds, because nothing ever sticks. I am quite amazed at the performance of these two pans. Incidentally, I regularly use sharp-edged metal utensils in these pans, including using a steak knife to slice Italian sausages while in the pan, and neither of the pans shows even the faintest scratch marks! My only cautionary note, if you are considering purchasing one of these fine pans, is that it is very important to never allow the temperature of the cooking surface on the bottom of the pan to exceed 500 degrees F; this upper temperature limit is also firmly and clearly noted in the product information provided with the pan by the manufacturer. It is also very important to never allow cooked foods to dry out and burn onto the pan surface, nor to allow cooked foods to dry and harden on the pan. For full transparency, I want to disclose that I purchased each of these two Gotham Steel pans at their full listed price on Amazon Prime Marketplace. This review reflects my honest experience and opinion in having used these pans on a regular basis.

Love this pan!
This is my second purchase of this pan. I use it daily. It cooks food evenly and is easy to clean. Using non toxic surface cookware is important to me. This pan meets all of my requirements.

Non stick feature is questionable
I cooked eggs with the pan on my first use and the non-stick feature worked beautifully. The eggs slid right out of the pan. I cleaned it in my dishwasher once and on the second use the eggs stuck to the pan and I needed to use a spatula. I bought this pan because it said you could use it in the dishwasher but it seems that this may truly affect the non-stick surface. I still give this pan 4 out of 5 stars because it cleans up better than any pan I've ever seen. I've since gone back to cooking spray and my eggs slide out once again. I would recommend this pan if you don't mind using cooking spray or olive oil. Knowing what I know now, I would still purchase this pan again.

But it Doesn’t Work on Induction
I love the Gotham Steel cookware and ordered this 9.5” with a 10” that I needed to replace one my husband destroyed by burning the food in it. (Yes, if they are left to burn, the finish can be destroyed and food sticks.) They do everything they are advertised to do but this 9.5” doesn’t work on my induction cooktop and that was my fault for not fully reading the description. So, rather than return it, I’ll use it in my RV.

Five stars with a few caveats.
This purchase is replacing the same pan I purchased and used daily for two years. It seems many people are passionate about this pan one way or another, so I'll try not to elicit any emotional rebuttals. I shall attempt to compare advertised claims vs. real world applications. Claim #1: Non stick without the use of lubricants. Videos of s'mores and melting/ burning cheese sliding out of this pan are disingenuous. Both of these foods contain enormous amounts of fats in of themselves. No surprise here. Videos of eggs cooking without the use of any fats, no so fast. This may have held some water during the early weeks of use, but quickly diminished. Truth is, a very small amount of fat is really needed to achieve this claim along with a low heat setting. Perhaps cooking s'mores first and simply wiping down the pan with a dry paper towel leaves enough oily residues to achieve this claim as well. Once washed with soap, not so much. Claim #2: Scratch resistant. Definitely better than average, although I would think twice before beating your eggs in the pan or using a metal meat mallet to sound the dinner bell! Claim #3: Dishwasher safe. Does this claim infer the safety to this pan or to your dishwasher? Yes, it is in fact safe for your dishwasher! Your pan, however, will most likely suffer a slow death after repeated washings. This very much depends upon the chemicals you are using in your dishwasher. Conclusion? It is best to hand wash with a minimal amount of soap. Claim #4: Pan stands up to 500 degree oven temperatures. Well this one is just plain stupid. So long as there is food cooking in the pan, the temperature of the pan will never come close to reaching 500 degrees. The handle may, but so what! It's constructed of steel! Want to test their claim in the absolute sense? Place your empty pan in a 500 degree oven, allow it to cook for 30 minutes and then get back to me. The point is, do not overheat an empty pan either in the oven or on the stove top. In conclusion: Overall, this pan has performed better than any other "non-stick" pan I have ever used. It offers better non-stick potential, better longevity and better bang for your buck. And no, this will not be the last non-stick pan you will need to purchase unless you decide to boycott this style of cookware in the future or give up the chore, I mean, joy of cooking altogether!

... Steel because of all of the hype about how great this was
I needed a new skillet to replace a teflon coated skillet so I decided to try the Gotham Steel because of all of the hype about how great this was. Also, for about $20, I really didn't have that much to lose. The skillet was delivered this morning, and after reading the instructions, and giving it a wash by hand, I decided to make some over easy eggs for the wife. THIS WAS A DISASTER. I'm used to making breakfast in good old USA made cast iron (and I make a lot of breakfasts) and I guess it was a mistake thinking using Gotham Steel which is made in China would be easier. I was wrong. Nothing beats a well seasoned cast iron skillet for cooking. Many may argue differently, but nobody can convince me otherwise. As recommended, I did not use any butter or oil. I heated the skillet on medium heat, added the eggs and watched them cook on the bottom, when it came time to turn them over, they just scooted away from the egg turner. I attempted to get underneath them and all of the uncooked white on the top just kept running all over the unused part of the skillet, and when I could finally get underneath the yolks broke. Once I removed the eggs, there was a good amount of stuck on material, that did in fact scrape off easily, but the cooking part was terrible. After the over easy egg debacle (as it is now known), I tried a ham and cheese omelet, this time using a small amount of butter. This was just as bad of an experience. Although this did help eliminate the sticking issue during cooking, but I was unable to turn the omelet over to cook the top. All in all, my eggs ended up looking like a third grade science project gone awry. I would not recommend this skillet to anyone. Again, well seasoned USA made cast iron is the way to go.

Great pan!
Love this pan! It is super easy to clean no matter what I have cooked in it. I use it for deep frying and don’t need as much oil as I did in my old deep fryer, it’s great for roasting in and for stove top to oven dishes. I love only having to use one pan for a whole meal.
