If you are putting in a modern home theater system with height effects channels, you are going to need a LOT of speaker wire. I went through over 300' of this stuff putting in a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos capable system into a 20x14 finished space. And because I was trying to avoid the wholesale destruction of the room, I had to do some funky runs to get the wires where they needed to be while working around most of the existing drywall. This stuff was pretty easy to work with, you just have to be careful stripping it, lest you take off too many strands, but it is otherwise quite easy to handle.It is also copper clad aluminum, not pure copper, so be careful on the long runs, near the length limits of what 14 AWG can handle. I just bought the 14AWG, 4 conductor version, and ran two conductors to (+) and two conductors to (-) on the longer runs where I was approaching the length limits. I figure 2 x 14AWG is probably more than enough to overcome the increased resistance of copper clad aluminum.Now that the system is up and running, I've had no issues with this wire. It seems to have no trouble driving all of these surround speakers correctly, even at uncomfortably high volumes, and I have not noticed any issues with interference from inadequate shielding, or any of the other kinds of issues you can get when wires are too small or crummy for the job they are being asked to do.So just be conservative in how far you run this stuff, or use the 2 conductors per terminal trick on the longer runs, and, at least in my experience, you should be fine. I don't regret the decision to avoid spending 3X more to get pure copper wire.

This is great for anyone looking to update their home theater system. We got new speakers and had to move our tv further away from our AVR, which meant we need to run some considerable wires. This was great as we did not have to worry about running out, keeping all the wire consistent and not have to go back and splice wires if we were to run out. Good quality without breaking the bank.

Good quality insulation and the copper is finely stranded. It bends well, too. I used it for 12-volt power for RGB LED strips and it works well for the 50-foot section I've tried so far. 18-gauge wire is rated to carry over 4 amps, so you should be able to support 75 or so RGB lights at full intensity.

I used these for a media room where I needed to run around 60 feet from the speaker wall to the receiver wall. This was far cheaper than buying #12 CL2 rated speaker wire. I doubled up on the ends for each speaker. Two conductors per terminal. I also ran this down a wall with limited space in lieu of 2 single pair CL2 cables. This reduced the hole sizes and quantities on the double header plates.

Works as well as any other in-wall audio cable I've used. I was concerned that connecting speakers over 200' from the amp wouldn't work well, but there is only minor volume loss and the sound quality is good.

great for all sorts of jobs, covering is white but would have been better black for automotive use, I guess this box of audio wire is designed for in home use to match most white walls to hide the wire run, there is a thread inside too, kind of annoying at times

This wire is pure junk. After one month I started having problems with speaker connections. The red and black wires were good but the blue and yellow ones just dissolved. The wire turned to powder. As I said it is pure junk.
