Some of these beautiful little plates I use for my cat's food! She doesn't like her whiskers to touch the sides of a bowl so these plates were perfect!I use the others for myself, of course...for breakfast muffins or serving guests appetizers or small desserts. They keep their shine going thru the dish washer. They are sturdy pieces of China and have good weight to them. I highly suggest for your guests or sensitive cats!

I bought the 6" Appetizer plates for my kitties' wet food, and they're just what I wanted. They are dishwasher safe, lightweight but sturdy porcelain with a 1" lip and 1/8" deep well that keeps the gravy inside, like a coffee cup saucer. They were well packaged and an amazing deal at one dollar fifty-seven cents each. In the Q&A there was some confusion about the size; the plates themselves are 6 inches across, as it states in the first bullet point. The 6.75" refers to the outside package dimensions of the box. I have asked the seller to correct this. In fact, I noticed a bit of confusion all around in the Q&A and reviews. A couple of buyers wanted smaller plates. I searched all sizes by entering "10 Strawberry Street plates" and found dozens of other sizes and shapes and a 5.5" square plate, but nothing smaller. One reviewer was looking for unbreakable plates. Some options for tempered glass dishes are Corelle, IKEA Oftast, Luminarc, Duralex, and Red Barrel Studio. Porcelain is breakable. That's why the packaging is heavy-duty and somewhat "maddening" to open. This shipping box is not intended for long-term storage; you can make one that is from a plastic shoebox and layers of thin cardboard or woven grip-style shelf liner. If you do receive one that's chipped or broken or the package contains less than it should, no need to call Amazon customer service. You can click "Problem with order" in your Orders List, then Contact Seller to request a partial replacement without returning the full set. Amazon will follow up later to ask if the problem was resolved. Of 165 reviews, only one mentions missing plates and one mentions chipped/broken ones, so it doesn't appear this happens "often". Several reviewers complained they were "too small". Again, there's some confusion about 6" vs. 6.75", but it sounds like some buyers were expecting MUCH bigger plates, maybe 8" or 10" or bigger. Your best bet is to always, always use a ruler to measure before you buy. Most importantly, when a potential buyer has a question about an item you've purchased, Amazon will email you directly to ask if you can answer it. If you can't, please don't reply. Most folks want to be helpful. But if you didn't buy the same item or don't know the answer, please, just ignore the email. The same reviews and Q&As may show up under completely different products the seller has available. Thus, if you buy a seller's T-shirt, it makes no sense to try to answer a question about one of their dresses. If you did buy the same item, the best answers always contain specifics: measurements you've taken with a ruler or tape measure, information from the garment label or packaging box, durability after so many washes or months, exact weight from a scale, colors such as "orange like a Tide bottle" or "the blue on a Pepsi can", etc. Just throwing out a few pointers to make the review/Q&A process better for everyone. They exceeded my expectations in every respect. The price is a bargain and the plates are beautiful. The size is one that is almost impossible to get. Fits nicely on a tray with your dinner plate, drink, utensils and napkin. I don't just recommend them, but think this is a must have item for every modern home. The plain white color goes with anything, and we love them. With twelve in a pack they are like a two for one deal in comparison to other items available.

A great value for simple appetizer plate.

For the price, these dishes are great, but you get what you pay for. I found the finish on this plates to be 'ok' quality. There was a few 'mars' in the finish, the edges weren't even but does it hinder the use or function - no. Will your guests notice, most likely not. With that said, I also purchased the Partito Bella 6x6" Porcelain Dessert Appetizer Plates and the finish was perfect. The edges of the plates clean and the overall quality exceptional. 10 Strawberry is a standard restaurant grade appetizer dish and the Partito is a more finished and refined appetizer dish and worth the additional expense.

I needed white saucers for white casual coffee cups. These are perfect size, color. The center is contoured enough to serve as a saucer, and still useful as an appetizer or small dessert plate. Great value.
