I have been using this pump for 1 week. It should work very well in this simple application. It does the job but it should do so much better and much more effortlessly. I have encountered two defects causing the problems.1. the air consumption is very high for such a small pump. I took the pump apart for cleaning and inspection to figure out why. I found some significant casting, welding, and and machining defects in the inner bore of the main piston shaft. The defects are big and they extend into the air ports. This results in damage to the piston shaft seal rings, creating a lot of air bypassing, very excessive air consumption, short cycling, overall low pumping power, and ultimately stall - fails to pump. The more the pump runs, the worse it gets.2. This is a 304SS pump body with a bolt on brass shuttle valve assembly. The brass valve is fine for most applications. The issue is that for some inexplicable reason the vendor/manufacturer painted the whole pump silver. The poor attempt to make the whole thing look stainless includes painting over the shuttle valve stall/start push pin. The pin was completely seized by the paint so whenever the pump stalled by low air, I had to take the valve caps off and use a push stick to get it going again. I have since used acetone to clean the pain off so the pin moves freely an functions as it is supposed to. Now a simple finger push on the pin gets the pump going again.If not for the interior manufacturing defects I would easily give this pump 4 stars. If not for the interior defect and the terrible paint job attempt, I would give this 5 stars. As is, in the as received condition; I can barely justify 2 stars.

I use this pump to move waste engine oil into a storage container. I have only had it for a short time, doesn't seem to move 12 gallons per minute but still meets my needs. I would recommend this pump so far. I will update this review if things change.

The pump works very good I like it
