Now this is a great product! Filters you water on hikes perfectly! Contains a small ceramic prefilter to take out most of the dirt before the mechanoc filter. Had this for 10 years and still works great

This water filter is just what every back-packer should have, small and easy to carry. A fresh drink of water at a pump without the need to carry water supply. Recommend you take water from a fresh river or brook.

Water is a valuable commodity, weighing less than 600g the Katadyn Vario will always be in my pack, for emergencies if nothing else. Living in the UK one is never far from a stream or river, so the Katadyn Vairo allows one to carry less water and reduce my pack weight.
