Can Lid be remove for playing

No, the lid is not removeable. It is hinged. But I'm glad it's this way, so we don't lose the lid! This game box is sized perfectly for portability, and also looks nice sitting on the shelf. We take it on vacations, play with the grandkids and friends.

Are the tiles attached inside the box (on a rod)?

Yes. They flip on a rod. It's a good game. Well made.

What is the dimensions of the playing field (where you roll the dice)? I want to know if I can fit a pad of Yahtzee score cards in that spot.
