Fits my 06 Chevy 5.3LS with a Bosch 3332 filter on it. It’s cast but works fine.

This worked perfectly for getting my oil filter off that I couldn't get a good grip on or get off with any other method. It's pretty lightweight so it must be made of aluminum but it seems sturdy enough and hasn't showed signs of breaking yet.

Had to buy another wrench! Argh. 73mm was too small, and 75.5mm was too big. However, 74mm was just right. Hey, this sounds familiar.... It was a snug fit (needed some tapping) on the filter being replaced, however it fit cleanly on the replacement filter.

Fits snug on the oil filter cover for the 2004 Mazda 3 2.3. Was aware of the one failure review though didn't mention from using a 27mm socket or 3/8" wrench but seeing how it broke it might be from using a 3/8" wrench, maybe with extension. Went with using a 27mm (1 1/16") socket without issues. Service manual tightening torque (o-rings lubed): Oil filter cover: 30 to 35 Nm (22.2 to 25.8 ft/lbs) Oil filter drain plug: 9 to 11 Nm (79.6 to 97 inch/lbs)

These cast style are the way to go. Worked great on my Mercedes, and bailed out a friend with a Porsche who was struggling with a stamped sheetmetal one for hours and this took it off with no fuss.

Fit 2006 Mercedes, perhaps just a tad loose but no issue getting the filter off.
