Makes Perfect Miter Joints Much Easier
If you're working on picture frames, trim, molding, or other projects with miter joints, this kit is incredibly helpful. The included spring pliers make opening the clamps quick and easy, and the clamps themselves apply even pressure to help keep your corners aligned while the glue dries. The clamps are sturdy, well-made, and hold securely without constantly slipping or needing adjustment. They saved me a lot of frustration compared to trying to hold pieces together by hand or using makeshift clamps. Once you get the hang of using them, they really speed up the assembly process and help produce cleaner, tighter joints. I also appreciate that they're made in the USA and feel like quality tools that should last for years. Whether you're an experienced woodworker or tackling your first frame project, this kit is a worthwhile addition to your workshop.

Earns its keep in my finish bag
Received the pliers/4 springs pack, and 12 pack of springs in 2 days as prime guarantees. The springs are nice and sharp and hold my work without excessive marks or marring. I use them primarily for installing baseboard and the little pin point marks don't require putty before paint. The really work and are well worth the cost. It's a must have tool - for me. One small thing - The pliers aren't the ones represented in the image. The image shows pliers with rolled handles, which is what I was hoping for. In fact, I ordered this item over similar items because their image showed the rolled handle pliers, rather than the flat stamped handles shown in other sellers images. What arrived are the that handled pliers. Because the springs don't require much pressure to open, the flat handles don't dig into my palm. It's not the most comfortable handle, but it works. I imaging I could build up the handles with some pipe foam or slip on a couple pieces of tubing Would this keep me from buying it again? No. It's still a simple yet highly effective tool and has earned a permanent place in my finish bag.

Brilliant Tool - No More Pin Nailing Miter Joints
I wish I had discovered this absolutely clever miter clamping device years ago. It would have saved me a lot time doing crown molding and gluing up mitered corners in all sorts of wood working scenarios. It is so simple that it is brilliant. With crown molding, of course, you not only have to concentrate on the miter joint and how to close up any gaps, but you also have the added complication of multiple curves in the profile cut of the crown, Since this thing has only two very small points of contact, you are able to clamp it onto any curved surface on crown that makes sense. Of course the most logical place to clamp these is in the troughs of contour changes in crown, so you leave absolutely no marks on your finished crown. WOW. I absolutely love that. I am also using this on flat goods, doing baseboard outside corners and door jambs, without leaving any impressions or marks on the surface in those applications either. With this clamp, I can now glue up miters without the need for pin nailing at the corners to keep the miter in contact with each other while the wood glue sets up. I will be ordering extra springs now, so that I can speed up the process of holding multiple miters together at one time. Although I have not tried it, I suspect one could also do picture frames with using band clamps.

They work great so far
I didn't know these existed till a month ago when I bought my set. I worked with a old carpenter that had a similar tool but it was a set of large jaw vice grips with pointed ends, same function for crown install. I came across these while looking for the vise grips. They work great so far, used them to clamp some mitered door frames. I really want to try it on my next crown job. Back to order more clamps. Also the tool is super cheap, it would be nice if it had a spring to keep the clamp loaded.

Like an extra set of hands for perfect miters!
I used these to hold miters in place for window casement and baseboard trim. I was working alone and this allowed me to hold the corners tight while i nailed the boards in place. Regular clamps don't work on 90 degrees. I also liked that you could orient the clamp to work around low ceiling where trim is close to a wall or floor. The only negative is and I can not think of a better alternative (so I did not take off any stars) - the clamps have sharp points and dig in to hold. This leaves a tiny holes in the wood when the clamp is removed. I was able to fill this will white putty but for stained wood this might be more visible. Recommend this-perfect tool for this job.

Outstanding for gluing mitered corners
Love this clamp kit! I've been trying to join mitered corners for years with wood glue and tape or nails. Tape never held the pieces together tight enough and nailing before the wood was dry always caused the two pieces to shift and get out-of-line. These spring clamps are perfect! They hold the corners together tightly and securely. Wood glue cures perfectly and the seam is nice and tight. Then I nail the pieces together with no shifting or movement. The only downside is that the clamps have to dig-into the wood on each side where its clamping. However, no bigger than a nail hole and easy to patch when you get ready to paint. I'm 100% sold on these.

Simple, functional and easy to use
I saw this on youtube, thought what a great idea for crown mounding, base and frames. Yes I leaves a mark from the point of the clamp, but a spot of filler for paint grade base or crown and your you good to go. I've use Gorilla glue, wet one side, glue the other, clamp while it sets, a finish nail (if) required and come away with excellent results. Wish I knew about this earlier.

Craftsman quality outside miters with these little spring clamps
These little spring clamps are fantastic for pulling together moulding when gluing an outside miter corner. The clamp tips bite into the wood, leaving a small mark like the head of a finishing nail. If the wood will be painted, there might be no need to even fill these small holes. The pliers are very light. The "spring" in the spring pliers is actually the spring clamp when it's being placed or removed. At first this seemed odd but it quickly became normal. The jaws easily picked up a clamp and held it, never slipping once. I was intrigued when Ron Paulk mentioned these in his Crown Moulding series on YouTube. As usual, he was right. The kit includes one Pliers and four Clamps. The clamps are cheap. Buy extra. Once you get started, you'll want more. The 12-pack of clamps works out to less than $3 per clamp.

Does the job
Works as described. I used it to build a frame around a bulletin board I made for my kids room and it works wrk. Only issue its that it tore out a corner as the material was thin but it was operator error and not equipment issue.

Good for small work
Excellent for ‘clamping’ small gauge stock of <5mm e.g. vanity draws and the like. Opt for the more mitre springs package
