Vision damage can occur from directly viewing the laser source or if the laser beam hits the eye. Damage is usually severe, and may result in blindness, which is why direct viewing of the laser source and its reflections should be avoided, a laser's reflective beam intensity may equal its direct beam intensity, therefore please do wear laser protection eyewear when laser radiating. Our safety laser spectacles offers protection of class 1 to class 4 lasers, i.e., from normal laser pen to those lasers have output powers of more than 500mW. The lens of the goggles is designed to reduce light transmittance of a specific wavelength. The lens can filter out (or absorb) a specific wavelength while maintaining adequate light transmission for other wavelengths. The absorption capability of the filtering media is called the optical density (OD). The OD is always expressed as a factor of 10. An OD of 4 means the filter has reduced the power of the beam to 1/10,000 of its original power, and this is the minimum capability of all our laser protective glasses. Warning: Do not look at a laser beam directly under any circumstances, even when wear protective eyewear! Warning: Do not expose your skin to direct or scattered laser light!
