Did the trick!
The old expansion tank of the same size was allowing build-up of hydronic system water pressure. The T&P dribbled all the time. Installed this one in about 45 minutes. Now, the pressure goes up top 25 - 28 lbs and no higher. This is with a water temperature rise from about 115 degrees to 180 degrees. I'm thinking about buying another with just a bit bigger capacity to keep the hydronic water pressure below 120 lbs.
