UPDATED AND DOWN RATED AFTER A MONTH 4 to one Only had it a day but have to remark it was very easy even for a 77 year old who is not the most expert technology guy around.It looksjust like my old screen with the same features. This Chromebook approach to a PC is amazing to me. Only slight down side is the screen clarity/sharpness which is less sharp than my last HP Chromebook. Not sure how to determine sharpness from the technical info when shopping but maybe this is alowerendof the HP line.Plus the Keyboard letters and numbers medium gray do not standout well from the muddy gray base color. Debating 4or 5 stars - going with 5, as it seems to be a very good price. Update down to 4* . The space bar needs a much harder stroke that theother key. The gray on grey keyboard is much more annoying that I previously thought andit is slower at playing Reelsthan my last HP UPDATE It is slow- and connot dealwith multipleopen windowsand it freezes often. I would return buy have provacy concerns for the data I have in it. AS OTHERS HAVE SAID THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS EASY START UP - by far the worse ChromebookI ever had.

Its respnsiveness is sluggish and the video card is sub-par, the screen looks washed out, pictures and videos are dull. I had an asus that was like watching an aquos tv. I bought this because the 3.25 year old asus utterly died and I had to get a chromebook delivered same day. Amazon gets 5 stars for that delilvery time but this HP is lackluster. I do not recommend unless price is the only driving factor, it is cheap. I've had it a month, it works ok, my keyboard is the same color as the body, not darker as shown in the pictures. ** update, I've had it for two months and I hate this thing, it locks up and lags, clearing history doesn't help. It gets very very hot. The screen is so hard to see it gives me a headache.

The screen cracked under normal use conditions outside of the 30 day return window. Poorly made to withstand normal wear or carrying in a bag without cracking the screen. Other than that it’s a good machine. Mine got a cracked screen and became illegible and unusable after transporting the CB in a laptop bag with other items under Normal conditions - no drop - just the weight a book in the bag apparently best the frame enough to crack the screen. That’s just bad product design and engineering. So now I have to go back an buy an unsecure Chinese made Lenovo or a more expensive and secure Dell. HP failed me this time.

Received computer in a timely manner, package wasn’t damage and computer looked in pristine condition. Turned it on and it started updating with no problems after I got on my WiFi. That’s where the greatness stopped! After updating I downloaded and app and opening it. It was the CANVA app. I’ve never had problems with this app on any other computer. But the second I tried opening it up on this computer. Everything went berserk, as if it was being fried see video that I am attaching. I uninstalled the Canva app and reinstalled it and it did it again. Uninstalled the Canva app again and everything was still glitchy looking so I returned. It didn’t even have the computer five minutes.

Wow. Hideous. On/off button is where the delete key should be, no delete key but a lot of accidental turning it off from being used to the delete key being there. Search button suddenly above the left-side shift key? What's up with that. Keyboard is not centered. Very slow. I get the low price, but not the positive reviews. Immediate return.

Worked great at first until I bought a mouse for it. Now I can't click on anything and the touchpad stopped working. I've tried 3 different mice too. Now I have to buy another laptop. That's OK though. I need Windows OS anyway.

Garbage. I know this is a budget device but I can’t even use it for zoom if there is anything else open. It struggles to connect to most WiFi. It operates very slowly. The battery charges quickly but drains faster than expected. Screen needs to be at just the right angle. I’m not sure I can keep this machine even for basic emailing, browsing, and zoom meetings for work.

I am so disappointed! We purchased a brand new laptop for my daughter’s birthday. What came was clearly used and had damage like it was refurbished. It won’t even work, it won’t connect to WiFi or load properly. I placed a request for a return and have not heard anything back. This is absolutely unacceptable.
