Very Easy To Put on, 110% Supportive!! Can Be used On Either Hand
This product is called "HKD Thumb Spica Splint Reversible Thumb Splint". I had injured my left hand, and the doctor recommended this particular splint. It is a geat product worthy of ten (10) gold stars!! ...so happy to have found it on Amazon!! As soon as I had put it on my hand felt soothed and comforted. Yes, I did have to go for therapy sessions, do the exercises at home; this splint helped a great deal at home since I needed to use both hands every day! The happy ending is that all is well with my left hand now. It is as though there was never any injury. Of course if the Dr. recommends therapy then go, of course! However, this thumb splint provides 110% support and comfort! to the thumb, wrist, fingers! The price is fair, and this splint is a top quality product....highly recommend.

Best thumb stiffness I've tried, but could be more comfortable.
I have on/off again De Quervain's tenosynovitis, and when I feel it starting up; I quite literally "brace myself." This splint/brace has had the most amount of thumb stiffness compared to any full hand splint/brace I own. If you use both metal strip and plastic piece, then this will keep your thumb from moving around, while still allowing you to function in your everyday life ALMOST like normal (which is unfortunately just the way it is with De Quervain's). The only drawback is that I feel as though comfort can be improved. Wrist strip is very comfortable, but I feel as though a more sleeve-like design needs to be used for the thumb. The current single strap design not only feels awkward at first (you get used to it), but it can start to irritate the skin after some hours of wear.Otherwise, very good splint/brace!

Broke but worked the best.
I’ve tried almost every splint I can find on Amazon at this point. And bought this one twice so far, because the first one’s plastic support broke. And I still got this again because it worked the best for the De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis I’ve been suffering the last 6-8 months. It’s small, I can still wash my hands and actually use my wrist white constraining the very specific motion that causes the pain and tendon damage. I don’t know if they really designed this intentionally, but it really has been the best. Idk if they knew what they were exactly doing because the overall quality of the product is no good. Only in one week of wearing, the stitches start coming off, and the plastic support inside easily broke.I love its size, how much of my hand it’s covering and the dual layered metal and plastic support. It’s also easy to remove and put it back on. Also great that the internal support is hidden and has a little velcro flap that needs to be removed to open and get them out. It was all open and exposed on a different product I also liked and it was kinda dangerous that it kept coming off as I wore. This one does not have that problem, despite its small and lean size.I was actually worried that it seemed to be unavailable for a few days because I’ll buy a couple more just to keep aside. But for the next product iteration if I was them, I’d definitely solve- the stitching and fabric quality- and the additional plastic support inside being delicate. Why not just make the whole thing metal?I’ll pay a few more bucks if they solve these.

Very uncomfortable
These braces might work if you never had to use your hand. However, if you're needing support for carpal tunnel and de quervains while working, don't get these. Any movement or even slight flexing of the wrist, will cause the loop for the straps to dig into your wrist. I wore it for one shift and was awarded a lovely bruise/red area. Also should point out the Velcro is poorly made. It will not properly cling to the brace. Constantly having to reapply it. If I had a FedEx nearby, I'd return it. I'm very annoyed about this waste of money. I've given it two attempts, a full day and a half day. Not impressed.

Great while it lasts!
The product is great. I love the design, however, the inside plastic piece broke in half. Also the Velcro around the thumb does not hold.

Great Splint
This really helped me with my wrist and thumb pain. My only complaint is that I have to take it off and put it on several times during the day to wash my hands and the Velcro gave out eventually. Overall this is a great splint if you have De Quervain (thumb tendon) symptoms or wrist pain below the thumb.
