5000ml Beaker, Low Form Griffin, Borosilicate 3.3 Glass, Graduated, Karter Scientific 213D22

Got this for my physics class. The beaker is huge. It's glass so it came well packaged and the material seems durable. Exactly what was needed for the job.

Decent volume and works well for non heated/non heat generating task. The bottom cracked after 30 seconds of heating at 450f with sulfuric acid inside... Not a pretty spill but if you are using for decanting, or short term waste storage this breaker will work well.

I like these beakers but they were shipped inside of a box with no padding between that box and the glass. So there are already rubbing marks permanently on all 4 contact points. Other than that they are solid and have a nice flat bottom.

This beaker came with a lot of scratches on it. Afraid it will crack when heated. Should not have scratches on it for the amount I paid for it.

I had to leave a review for this beaker because I am so satisfied with it. This isn't my first 5000ml beaker, but it's the best I've bought for it's sub $40 price. It's constructed of thicker glass than I expected.. Another nice surprise is that it holds well over it's stated volume of 5000 ml, making it easier to work with a full 5000ml of fluids.(stirring briskly, or walking with it full). My beaker didn't contain any bubbles or defects in the glass; which I have seen in other beakers this large
