USGI Military Large Olive Drab Alice Pack w/ Straps / Frame / Pad

Well I paid a little bit more than quite a few others who were offering this same large alice pack with frame becsuse it was supposed to be better quality so I understood why I was paying more... I am always one for quality over quantity but this time it was not the case I paid for quality and got quantity which means I'll be buying another one elsewhere because this one isn't in good shape. There are some significant cuts in the webbing for the main pouch so I'm unsure if it'll even handle a decent weight where I have to tighten it down. The frame has big gashes and paint missing but I expect that because it seems like normal wear and tear. The kidney/back pad is in terrible condition which is going to result in me purchasing another one that is padded and not torn up almost as if a dog chewed on it. I will take pictures tomorrow and then update this post. I am not giving it a 1 star review because this was advertised as a used bag not brand new however this is beyond normal wear and tare and probably shouldn't have been sold like this or atleast had the correct pictures up and a lower price!

Army Surplus is the way to go for any type of camping gear and this is the perfect example. Uncle Sam equips it's personnel well (unless you got a 1st release M16) and this same model took our troops from WWII through Viet Nam. It's built like a tank, it'll carry a ton, and my 14 year old soon to be Eagle Scout will likely give this pack to his son as this pack replaces the circa 1955 Alice Pack that got me through Boy Scouts and years of camping, my oldest son's Boy Scouting years,and finally it gave out while my youngest was camping with his troop a few weeks ago. The old one was faded and frayed but after 4 decades of use you'd have to expect some of that. This pack is built like my old pack so we will likely be replacing it in 2056 and I hope I'm around to write the review of it's replacement

A definite need for folks who've been squandered by a corporations that obviously sacked the United States of America via a "telepathy network" to influence 19 hijackers into a "like-minded" frame and like passioned constitution to hijack aeroplanes and crash them into building's thus, committing MASS MURDER and forcing an entire nation whether invested or not, into a guilty disposition of two other MASS MURDERS that occurred by way of obstruction of an investigation into the initial mass murder

Bought this pack for my teenage son who is currently on a paramilitary trip, and he loved it and was amazed at how much he could stuff it with. The condition of the pack ("very good" or something along those lines) was as promised by the vendor, and the only noticeable item worth mentioning here was that the original straps had been swapped out for camouflage ones. Again, the purchase was made for a teenager who will eventually discover the local outdoor adventure shop and want to acquire a more state-of-the-art backpack developed especially for exploring Mother Earth, and this pack will be discarded soon enough, not being a modern enough piece of equipment to get the job done like the pro my son aspires to be (don't we all?). For hundreds of dollars less than said specialty packs, his Alice pack should do just fine for the time being.

The backpack came far from good condition. Frame was bitten up and fabric was covered with all kind of spots which i think some was blood too. Very very poor condition. Exchanged on another one and the second came near the same condition.

The pack was advertised as used "collectible". The frame on the pack is coming apart at the rivets and the pack it self has the stitching on the traps, belt and pouches coming apart to the point where is past repair. I might be able to salvage the frame with some aluminum welding.

Most used peice of equipment iv ever seen itd hardly functional id share pictutrd but I returned it after 30 minutes of trying to use it.

Mismatched shoulder straps and item had a bunch of twigs dirt in pockets. Actual bag and frame are in good condition.
