Dang this kept me from needing to hire some HVAC company to come out and help troubleshoot poor AC duct performance.Was able to use this to figure out how to get as much cold AC air upstairs as possible. I don't use if for extremely precise scientific variation calculations...LoL (tried to use a bunch of big words) so cannot say for 100% that it is like scientifically precise...but it measured air flows from my ducts and at the cold air intakes in a consistent manner...which was exactly what I needed.It also has a digital thermometer on it, that seemed pretty accurate too...so kind of a nice additional option.

Battery life is good. Tripod is flimsy but works. I add some weight to it to keep from blowing over.When long distance shooting, it's just as accurate as a few competitors $300 units.I also use it to monitor wind speed when running SAR operations with my drone. No complaints. The back-lit LCD is a bonus.

This is a nice wind speed meter but it's difficult to read when sitting on the ground, and the wind tends to pick it up and jar it when it sits up on a surface to make reading it better.

What a fun device. And... it is very informative/educational. Not information that is life shattering but knowing how strong the wind is blowing is just plain fun to play with. This tool does a very good job of supplying that information for you. There are a lot of reasons for wanting or needing to know the wind velocity and this will do that for you at a very affordable price.The blades are very well balanced and are safely placed in a cage. The cage does not impede any of the air flow so readings will be very close to accurate. There is an LCD screen that will provide wind speed as well as temperature. You can choose between "F" or "C" for temp and the wind speed readout is also selective. It can determine "AVG" speed if you want to select it. It will also give you minimum and maximum speeds. The screen can be backlit if needed. There is a camera mount socket under the handle to mount on a tripod.Assembly is well done, and it feels like a quality device. It feels good in hand and is easy to use. Reading the screen is very easy as it is not cluttered with unwanted or unneeded information.Comes in a brown box with the device, a short tripod, charge cable, screwdriver to remove the door to install the included AAA batteries (2) and a case to store it all in as well as an instruction manual.We are enjoying this and will be using it on our various camping trips.

It comes with a carrying case, a small screwdriver for changing batteries and even a small tripod.I mainly use it to test computer fans airflow, but it has many applications, such as checking outside conditions, AC unit, HVAC, drone piloting, climbing, shooting, boat sailing and even flying a kite.The INFURIDER anemometer can display wind speeds for any of these activities in 5 different units of measure and the temperature in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.This anemometer works on 2 AAA batteries, which are included with the unit. It has an auto power-off functionality and also the LCD backlight automatically goes off to help save battery when not in used.The INFURIDER is fairly priced, lightweight and accurate anemometer, that works very well for different applications.It has a clear display that provides various readings, helping users to make appropriate decisions.

The instructions were no help, but the unit is not that difficult to figure out. It's actually pretty fun to test different things with it.I had a brush hairdryer that I needed to test, so I used this unit to compare the brush dryer with my conventional hairdryer. It was interesting to see it. I used the average setting and measured ft/sec.The settings are as easy as pushing the labeled buttons; however, the instructional diagram is mislabeled and also has quite a bit of information omitted. The display in the book says it measures wind chill, but I have not found a button in the actual device that will show wind chill on the screen.Based on the low/high readings of my hairdryer, no matter what the heat setting, the wind speed was the same. The temperature setting is likely as accurate. On high heat and high force, the temperature exceeded 112 degrees Fahrenheit and the number on the display was replaced with an H. The instructions don't explain what the H stands for, but we'll just assume it means Hot.It's a fun thing to have, but I can't say that I would have a specific use for it other than what I just demonstrated. It would be nice if it came with instructions that were at least accurate and at most useful for a novice.The price seems reasonable but I have nothing to compare it to.
