My kids love eating from these placemat plates. My 18 month old hasn't even tried to pick it up and dump it out. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there isn't consistent suction. I do find if you wipe the back with a damp rag, the suction is better, but even with that, I find times where it seems securely suctioned, and others where there is no suction at all.

Description says it sticks to most surfaces, including baby/ high chair trays. So far, it doesn't "stick" to anything. There is suction created when you try to pull up the tray from the middle, but that's it. My 15 month old picked it up by the corner the first time I put it down in front of her. Now I can't use it since she knows to grab the sides not the hippo. Every meal goes airborne.

Great idea however my kids figured out how to pick it up after 2 minutes and never stoped picking it up ever since lol very easy to clean but I wish the openings were bigger to hold a bit more food

Our grandson loves eating at the table with his new silicone mat with a built in hippo shaped bowl. His parents eat out a lot and now take this with them. Works awesome. My daughter cant pick it up ans throw her food. It sticks to the little vinyl table i have for her to sit at. The silicon is thick and durable. It still looks perfect after 10 uses. And it hasnt soaked in smells or grease. 👍

It's perfect. Truly a gift from the Amazon gods. Stays put on the table (we have a wooden one) and my kid loves the bright color. I love that it's easy to wash and divides the food nicely. The portion size is perfect for my (almost) 2 year old as well!

I hoped that it would keep my nephew from making a huge mess, but I just chalked it up to him being completely messy. The product will work if the child is monitored closely.
