It works!
The motor fits perfectly and works just like the original. It was super easy to change. Why buy a new drill when you can repair it for a fraction of the cost of new?

Exact replacement for many DeWalt 12v tools
I was surprised when my 12v DeWalt drill puffed out the magic smoke. It was easy to take apart and find the part number for the motor. For about $30, the replacement motor was easy to replace - it took about 5 minutes to complete.

Works perfectly
My Dewalt DCD710 is brand new again thanks to this. It was a total pain to install, but that wasn't the motor's fault. Beware, the motor does need to be installed at the right rotation. When you get the old one out, spin the new motor in the plastic enclosure until you get it aligned. Also, be careful to keep everything forward of the motor tilted down so all of the gears stay inside. I spilled the gears and had to re-install the 6 planetary gears with tweezers several times during re-assembly.
