Like the title says, I rock a pretty heavy protective case with magsafe, some phone mounts don't get a strong enough hold to where the phone would fly off going around corners. Not this mount! Great hold! Once the magnets get close enough, my phone snaps in with a very audible and satisfying click! If used with the proper 12v adapter/charging cable, this mount can actually fast charge (through the thick case). I like the updated clamp design with small tabs in the back so it bites the vent even more. If by chance it loosens up, the tabs still keep it from falling out. But it has not loosened up at all so far! The head swivels nicely with a form resistance to it so it stays in place wherever you move it to. It blends in nicely with my dash/vent area when I don't have my phone on it. But to be honest my phone is always on it because of how convenient it is.

Even after reading all the positive reviews on this mount, I was still a little skeptical about how well this would work out for me. I’ve had other magnetic car mounts in the past and they would work for a little while (a week or so) and then the sticky pad would get warm from the heat of sun and lift off the dash from the weight of my phone. When I upgraded to the new pro max recently, I decided to go with a MagSafe case so I wanted a mount that would utilize the wireless charging. I went with this one specifically because it came with two mount styles: vent mount and the sticky pad dash mount and had the MagSafe charging feature.To be honest, I didn’t think the vent mount would hold my phone at all. I can’t use the vent mount because of how the vents in my car are (and running the heat/AC is going to blow directly on my phone) but I was super impressed with how sturdy the vent mount was. Like it legit works great! Kind of wish it was practical to use in my car (Toyota Corolla) because I liked it that much. If your cars vents are set up a specific way, this mount is a great and solid option. It has a little piece on it that stabilizes the mount on the vent and is something I hadn’t seen in other kinds of vent mounts. It’s the first good vent mount I had ever seen in action!I don’t have a whole lot of places I can place the dashboard mount because the dashboard in my car is curved in a lot of places which makes it hard to find a flat surface to put it (not the products fault at all - the company actually slightly curve the base to account for that but my dashboard is just weird). I really like that the base has a slight curve to try to account for that because I don’t think I would have had a place to put it without that! I waited to review this product specifically because I wanted to see how the base/sticky held up. As mentioned above, I have used these types of mounts before and ran into lifting problems but I haven’t experienced any of that so far! I was worried because the MagSafe connection between your case and the mount is really strong and I was worried I’d rip the whole mount off the dashboard pulling my phone off! Nope, even with having to pull the phone off with some strength it has held up great so far. I spend 3 hours a day in my car driving in all kinds of different areas and not once has my phone ever fallen off the mount which is huge because again, I’ve had a lot of mounts and every single one of them had my phone falling off the mount while driving. Nope, not a single time!I rarely leave reviews for items unless it really wows me and this mount has been absolutely great so far! I expected to encounter something I didn’t like about it but I can’t think of a single thing. You have complete control over the angle of the mount, it holds your phone sturdy even over big bumps/jarring and as long as the car adapter you use is capable of high amp charging, the wireless charging is fantastic! Highly recommend, it is hands down the best mount I’ve ever bought!

I bought two of these. I bought the first one and installed it in one of my cars. I was worried it would crack the plastic on my vent. Because it’s wide and has ‘wings’ that help support on the edge of the vent, it doesn’t seem like that will be an issue. Works very well. It is on a ball joint so it can be loosened and tilted in any direction to suit your needs: up, down, left and right. I have a motorcycle cover on my phone so I take it off while using this. It does, however, come with an adhesive magnet if you have a phone that doesn’t inherently magnetize. Or if you want to keep your cover on, you can stick the included magnet on your phone cover. It’s a doughnut type magnet so if you have a pop it, it will circle around that. I don’t use the magnet because of the nature of the mount of my motorcycle—I don’t think I can adhere the magnet to my phone cover and still be able to lock it on to my motorcycle phone mount. But I haven’t tried it, yet. This works so well that I bought a second one for my other car.

This works very well for MagSafe phones with MagSafe cases. It will charge a non-MagSafe phone, but you may have to take the case off for it to charge. And without the MagSafe ring, it may come off the charger.But it’s perfect for a MagSafe phone and MagSafe case.

Looks and integrates well with my car's interior. Powerful magnet holds phone securely over rough roads. Induction charging works well with approved magsafe phone cases.

Charger attached easily to the vents in my car. Worked well at first. Amazon sent my concern to the supplier, who contacted me by e-mail immediately afterwards. They listened to my concern, honored their warranty, and provided a replacement unit.
