Long-Lasting Alkaline Size D Batteries in the 12 pack assures me that I will have extra D sized great quality, known brand with great performance, easy to use & versatile batteries on hand when needed. I don't have as many pet toys or devices with this size battery but it seems that they are the more important items that need the larger size. Great dating on the batteries as well. Good value for the money to have extra on hand!

Batteries are as described and worked great. Can't speak to longevity though, as they're being used in motion sensor, outdoor lighting (not continuously on).
