Having read of the health benefits of vitamin B12, particularly that it can help the memory as you get older, improve energy levels/reduce tiredness etc, I decided to give these a try and they seem good value for a whole year's supply. They are small , easy to swallow and tasteless. Along with some other reviewers, I have had daily headaches since taking them - only mild, but I rarely ever get a headache, so it can't be a coincidence. When you take vitamins like this, you just have to assume that they are doing some good. Hopefully the headaches mean that some repair work is going on in the brain! A lot of the health benefits of vitamin B12 seem to be preventative (e.g. prevents anaemia, macular degeneration, loss of neurons that can lead to Alzheimer's, etc) , so you're not going to see instant results, but I will certainly keep taking them.UPDATE: I began taking these in 2020 and in 2023 am still taking them daily. The headaches mentioned above only lasted around two weeks. Prior to 2020, I used to get what I call "four o'clock droop". Approaching my seventies, I always needed a nap at around four o'clock every afternoon, when the energy level seemed to drop. Since taking these, I have much more energy and never need an afternoon snooze now. One unexpected benefit is improved eyesight. I had been taking them for a few weeks and suddenly noticed that I could read the hymn board in church very clearly, which I couldn't before,. I was always thinking "Is that a three or a five?" etc. Then I realised that I no longer needed glasses for watching television, everything looked sharp. When the first jar of tablets came to an end after a year, I didn't buy any more for a little while - but was aware that my eyesight wasn't quite as good. I then bought another jar and within weeks, the vision had greatly improved again. So now I take one a day, every day without fail and have just ordered my next supply for 2023-2024. Hopefully there are other health benefits, but improved eyesight and more energy are two enormous bonuses.UPDATE 2025: Having taken these for five years with the above benefits, I was disappointed with my latest order to discover that they have changed from small white tablets to larger pink tablets. The container looked exactly the same until I read the ingredient list. Previously there were just TWO ingredients - Bulking agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose) and Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12). Now there are at least NINE ingredients - Bulking agents (Calcium Phosphates, Microcrystalline Cellulose), Tablet coating - Glazing Agents (Polydextrose HydroxPropyl, MethylCellulose, Guar Gum), Maltodextrin, Colour (Calcium Carbonate), MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12). I am not at all happy about these additives and may look for another brand in future.
