Large job, no problems.
I was doing a unique job of putting in 55, 4’x8’ sheets of hardie panel. It was the bottom 3’ of the wall, below a chair rail. So I had 55 sheets that I had to rip to 3’x8’. I bought this tool but did not think it would last. Well it did. It cuts clean, little to no airborne dust, and follows a line with ease. Last of the 55 8’ rips was as clean and effortless as the first. Used on 5/16” hardie panel. Makes an 8’ cut in 20 seconds or so. Also, I had some boards that I had to shave an extra 1/8” off to make them fit right. The gap in the shears is 1/4”, but you can ride just one of the guides and make a minute cut. Doesn’t cut as smooth as a angle grinder, and can’t make butt joints with it. But still a pretty clean cut.

Snip Snip
Works very well. Was a quick and easy solution to the need for a stationary sheer. Little difficult to use and not curve the metal as you cut but definitely gets the job done.

Works well
This does long cuts with ease that I couldn't do very well with snips. Very smooth if you can follow a line. It does mar the surface a bit on either side of the cut, but does not curl the edges.

Great Power at the right Price!
Whether you're cutting through vinyl siding, backer board or something as simple as cardboard this is the tool you want to have on hand. It makes cutting things like that a complete and utter cinch. For the power that it has it's surprisingly lightweight and it really gets the job done quickly. With so many variable speeds it’s hard to find something it can’t accomplish! We are doing a lot of work on our house and this set of shears has yet to run out of possible uses. We are in love with it and for the price you can't beat it.Favorite features:- Quality Build- Easy to use- The head rotates/swivels- Virtually no dust

Easy to use and no dust
I am in the process of residing my entire house over three summers at very roughly 1600 sq ft of siding. I am a little over half done now and one summer remaining. The siding I am using is 6.25 inch fiber cement board siding. The shears give pretty good cuts very quickly and easily and with no dust. The correct blade on a miter saw will give a "better cut" but that has downsides of dust and setting up for the cut. I would guess that about 75% of the cuts I have made have been using the shears and about 25% using a blase. The cut with a blade is a little better but most of the time you do not need the cut that good if the edge is covered by trim and you do get better at using the shears. If you are going to do any quantity of siding, these shears should be part of the tools available.
