Is it compatible with a viola

I assume you're asking about the included instrument holder. It's possible, but it seems like a viola might be a bit to heavy for it, so I haven't tried using it for anything larger than a soprano ukulele or 3/4 size violin, and it works fine for that. The stand I've been using for years for my viola is made by Ingles, and I recommend using that for heavier or more valuable instruments.

Will it hold a concert size ukulele?

No. It will not hold a ukulele. I just received mine going to be able to do just that, but no, it will not.

Is it sturdy enough to hold a violin and the violin hanger is free?

Yes, it's a sturdy stand, and the violin hanger is perfect for my 4/4 violin, the seller said it fits for 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4 violin.

How is the quality of the music rack bag? Is it convenient to take it with?

The bag seems strong enough to carry the stand. The stand isn't study.
