I feel like I'm 15 again, but I'm 42. I usually don't write reviews, but this was a must. I bought this King Tiger and a Tiger 1 and my son loves it. They sound and act like legit tanks...they even smoke and shoots air soft bbs with recoil! If I could give 6 stars I would.

Very large and lots of detail. Everything works as it should. Pressure sensitive steering and throttle, fires bb's and smokes, also has sounds with volume control, This tank has it all !!!I have wanted to buy it for a long time and I'm glad I did it I'm very happy with it and plan on getting the tiger 1 and I'll definitely be getting the heng long brand.

The media could not be loaded. I have quite a few tanks with the very sale functions as this one, but not as big. This tank is awesome and has enough to keep you enjoying it without getting bored! It has realistic sounds, move forward and backward, turns, turret moves around, the cannon moves up and down, you can shoot, or hear the machine gun, you can see the smoke...It has great details and some parts must be assembled. However, there is a minor flaw (at such a steep price, should be flawless)...Some parts tend to fall off, specially one of the rear flap guards, the ring with the machine gun on top of the turret. Overall, it's an awesome tank (1/16th scale) even though you can find smaller versions (1/18th scale)at a much lower prize with the same functions sacrificing just a little size. I love the tank, but at that price it might as well includes metal tracks.

So, this is an RC you never realized you needed till now. Man, we've come a long way folks when it comes to RC in general. This is an official Heng Long King Tiger Tank that is 1/16th the size of a real one. The description page here is quite comprehensive on the history of this tank which struck fear into our Allies, and I will not get into. This tank is honestly much larger compared to my 1/10th RC vehicles, about the size of a 1/8th size RC.In the past years I've looked at Tamiya tanks, which offers something very similar, and I love to put my RCs together from the ground up (Yes, I'm old school from the 80s), but this comes prebuilt and at a fraction of the price of the Tamiya (The Tamiya tanks are around a 1000 dollars and offer everything in metal and much more, but also less). The tradeoffs are that this is an all plastic model except for the barrel, and suspension. This does come with some serious punch and moves quickly across the room and over throw pillow (sorry wife!). It produces smoke (don't drop any liquid into the reservoir, it already comes loaded from the factory), 3 different sound loudness modes, 2 different sound options for the machine gun, and it also has tank recoil, in which the tank moves back a quarter inch and then back. Looks pretty realistic to us. It also comes with the IR battle system already installed and ready to go, you just need to install the top IR receiver via a small plug and magnet mount onto the top. The controller is also 2.4Ghz so no interference like the old 27Mhz of the days gone.I highly suggest taking a look at some "Heng Long 1/16 King Tiger" videos online to truly understand what this tank is capable of, as my pictures do not do justice to it. The videos will give you an idea what you are getting into. Also take a look at some "Heng Long 1/16 RC IR battle" videos to get an idea of how fun those IR battles are. I plan on ordering a few more models over time to experience the IR battles with my kids and wife. Trust me its pretty cool and addicting. The tank does include 6mm BBs and yes the tank does shoot them, and shoots them quite far. Following the instructions I disabled this feature, and the instructions do recommend using safety glasses if your going to shoot them and to be honest you need them as they ricochet easily, as the BB shooter inside the main gun does have that much power.The instructions leave a lot to be desired and are quite tough to decipher at times. I highly suggest learning to charge the battery first (it takes hours as for it is Li-Ion), and then read the manual and then reading it again. I took me a few tries to adjust the tank to what I wanted for indoor scale use. Upon charging and installing the batteries everything comes at "max" value from the factory. I used the manual to learn to turn the "turning radius down to a much slower rotation" as well as the speed which was ridiculously fast. Then instructions do stated that this is the plastic version of the RC and for indoor use only. If you plan on using this model outside it is highly recommended that you upgrade the internal drive box to steel gears and change out the treads as well as the gears to metal as well. Using the manual I was also able to turn the tank sounds down a bit as for it comes out of the box really loud.I'll be honest, the tank is blast to drive in house. My daughter 8, who already drives an RC 4WD short course truck outdoors and a rock crawler easily grasped the tank once I showed her how to drive it.Key takeaways from the tank:- Real metal spring suspension, two batteries 1800mAh Li-Ion batteries, countless accessories (pre-painted too) & decals to dress up the tank and make it look more scale, the 2.4Ghz controller, smoke fluid, box of BBs, USB charger, 7.0 upgraded receiver, manual, instructions, and semi rigid paper target to shoot the BBs at.- The battery compartment dimensions of the tank will fit a classic style 7.2-7.4v Ni-Mh or a Lipo. However keep in mind if you use a Lipo there isn't enough room in there to fit a Lipo alarm, so keep a timer on you to know when to shut it down or you will deplete your Lipo battery completely.- Tank is 17 inches long, 26 inches from end to end with the tank main gun, and a little under 10 inches wide, and about 10 inches high, even higher once you use the tank commander.- Under the controller battery compartment lid is a cheat sheet should you need to edit the myriad of options.- Seriously no pun intended, but this thing is a serious blast to play with. I do planes, trains, helis, boats, cars, trucks, and crawlers in RC and this has to by far the most fun RC out of all of them.- Do a search online and you will find many clubs across the US that you can join and battle it out with when it comes to 1/16 RC tanks.-Countless upgrades available online depending on if you plan to use it outside, and for other options as well.

So cool! This is clearly an "adult toy"! Uhhh.. not that kind... I mean, it's clearly made so adults can really appreciate and enjoy.I have smaller size tanks, but this large 1:16 scale really increases the fun/cool factor.I'm not even an RC or tank enthusiast and I think this is awesome. It can even fire BB bullets.Now I have some fun time in my yard and also impress my guests/make them jealous. :P

Amazing tank with truly amazing details ! Can't believe how realistic is ! Amazed with realistic firing and turret rotation !Very very high quality product ! Assembling is not very hard, most of the instructions are clear. Anyway, I would suggest watching some online videos too . Not only for assembling but there are some "tips and tricks" what to do and how to have maximum fun with this amazing tank.Will be highly recommended !
