This is my 5th purchase of these totes. They work awesome for growing any kind of leafy greens and lettuce. I also used them to start seed of fruiting plants that I later moved to bigger systems. I’m going to experiment with growing a dwarf size fruiting plants like tiny Tim tomatoes or Iznik cucumbers with just 1 or 2 plants. I seen someone do something similar with a small system and it worked. Either way this was a great find and saved me from having to drill my own holes.

I love this unit. The opaque color keeps it from getting algae buildup and the only thing you need extra to get started are seeds and a liquid organic nutrient solution along with grow lights of course. It fits the Aerogarden pods perfectly and as I have two of those and a bunch of refill pods, that works well for me. I grow romaine lettuce in one unit all six pods. I grow mini bell peppers and dwarf tomatoes in my other unit two plants each leaving space for growth. This is a very easy to use planter. Just soak the sponge, add your seeds, and wait. Make sure the sponge is a little damp until the plant roots reach your nutrient reservoir. Then I add water every other week to a little over halfway, and nutrient solution every other week to a little over halfway full. I keep my LED grow lights about 2-3" from the tops of the plants. The grow light is on a timer at 14 hrs per day. I also added a timer for the air pump in this kit, I set it to run 15 minutes per hour all day and night. If you buy heirloom seeds, you'll never need to shop for salad again!!

I wish I would've read better. The size is in CM not IN then they put the PACKAGE size not the item size. Spend the extra $5 as there are other options that are literally double the size, have a better pump, come with rockwool plugs AND clay stones with 12 holes instead of 6! A much better deal for your money! Aside from that everything works well, plants thriving.

This thing is cool. Yes it is small, but that is a good thing for me and my purposes. I have a larger 32 plant, wall mounted hydroponic setup with a 55 gallon reservoir and a water recirculating pump. I run it full bore in the summer months. I always have a hard time keeping up production cutting the lettuce in my setup then waiting for the seedlings to grow and stat tacking on good growth. I plan on using the small size of this product to give me a jump start on my seedlings, then transfer them to the main setup to let them take off. Be a good way to increase my production a bit and not have bare pots, waiting for seeds to sprout. For that, this will work pretty well. I also plan on using it in the winter months to keep herbs going and the small size will work well indoors. The one downside I see, the aerator pump is on the cheap side. So I will have to see how it holds up, but overall, I'm happy.

exactly what I expected, small durable and sets well on my kitchen counter and looking forward to having lettuce throughout the winter. perfect value for my money. only wish there were discs to cover the holes I won't be planting in,

Air pump and air stone, floating water monitor and growing sponges with hydro cups in a small six plant hydroponic set up for around $30. Can't beat it. I build hydroponic and aeroponic systems for drowning veggies and plants. This is a great system for in front of a window. My wife was using some bunching onions so I planted the root end cutoffs and in less than two weeks I had 6-8 inch green onion tops growing. Impressive.

Initially, I was shipped the wrong item as described in the listing. I reported it and the seller changed the picture. I planned on returning, however, the drop off site is far away and it is challenging for me to get there. I decided to give the tiny product item a try . It was supposed to be larger and have more holes to plant. Sadly, I should have returned it. My beautiful lettuce sprouts that I took from my garden were growing until the pump quit working. The roots molded because the water was not circulating. I really wish that I have returned the item.

it was ok, luckily i noticed that the air pump is 110-120v, in many country like mine the standard is 220-240 volts this is dangerous it will blow up the motor that may also cause fire, you should should highlight in your description cause this very important if you shipping internationally
