Rockabilly Blue

So far I have used the Rockabilly Blue, Enchanted Forest, and Violet Night on my virgin light brown/gray hair without bleaching first. I first washed my hair with Prell to get all the residue out and rough up the hair shaft a little so it would take the dye well. I did not use conditioner. Then I applied the dye and left it on for 8 hours, under a plastic cap. I have fairly thin hair, so I was able to use just 1/2 a container. I rinsed the dye out thoroughly with warm water but did not immediately shampoo it out. I waited until it was totally dry before going to bed. This made sure the dye did not bleed onto the pillow. I didn't shampoo it until about 3 days later, and I always used a shampoo without sulfates. In each case, the dye faded somewhat but at 4 weeks it still looked pretty good. I then dyed it again. I am very happy with the results. I hope that if you try it this way, you will be happy with the results, too.

I purchased manic panic colors in rockabilly blue, atomic turquoise and green envy. I wanted more blue but it turned out more green and that is okay, my fav color is green I was just scared to be all green lol My hair before was dark at roots and blonde bolyage more like copper hair “brazzy” did blue then turquoise and green on ends. Turned out pretty cool and mostly green with hints of blue here and there. Missed a couple spots but will buy more to cover those area. Really satisfied. I’ll update later on longevity. Put on clean dry hair for two hours then rinsed outside on grass. Stuff stains and I wore gloves so just my neck is stained.

Easy to apply, bright. Fades fairly quickly.

This is Rockabilly blue- hot hot pink-Punky brand Purple- and a blend of all 3 mixed together with conditioner. It's holding great but the pure blue does look a bit turquoise now after 3 washed and the blue does bleed a lot. I mixed each color with equal parts of conditioner and put a cap on and went to bed. I used Blue Lightning Manic Panic vol. 30 and reached decent lightness, the blonde color under the pink is my starting shade after bleach.

Did it's job. My grand daughter loved it.

I used it and it didn’t stay. I let it stay in my hair for an hour. It stayed for only 1 day. I’m terribly disappointed because I was feeling nostalgic and was looking forward to this product after many years of not using it. I’m left disappointed and my hair not dyed.

Before I get into the good, and bad I must inform that I did NOT bleach my hair, and for those who don't want to bleach it mine still came out nice. I have Light brown hair/ Dark blonde hair with my under layer already dyed black in the back from a year ago. I left the dye sit in for 3 1/2 hours in a shower cap while applying a heat pad on and off for those hours. I'll include photos mainly of the after, and 1 before the process. Pros: - It looks absolutely beautiful, I love this color blue. - Each rinse/wash it does fade, but it fades into a brighter blue for me. - It isn't "out there" it's a nice dark blue Cons: - The major con that made me rate this 3 stars is that it bleeds onto my face and makes it blue. I find myself scrambling in the mornings before work trying to scrub the blue off my face/neck/ears and am constantly worrying that it rubbed off on my face again, and again while out of the house. - it stains my pillow when I sleep so I need a towel. - Stains my hands by just running them through my hair. - I kept rinsing my hair constantly because I thought it was because I didn't rinse it good enough.. But it's just the product. It rubs off onto my face and I hate that. - Stained my shirts (I have long hair) pretty bad, and it's noticeable. - 1st time I rinsed it out it was black with a slight blue tint. Needed to rinse it once, and wash it once in order to achieve a brighter blue. Overview: I might buy manic Panic again to give it 1 more chance, but a different color in hopes that it doesn't rub off onto skin so easily..but I am very hesitant to do so after my experience. I love that it is a vegan hair dye that's not tested on animals, and no chemicals, but they need to work on their formula so this does not happen. I read instructions on the bottle, and on some reviews to assure I did this correctly. I do love the look of this dye, but I think I will just have to get this permanently done by my local salon. My deal breaker with this product is how easily this rubs off onto anything it touches. It is extremely annoying. Also my camera unfortunately doesn't do justice with the blue in my hair. It is much brighter and more noticeable in person.

Always have been a fan of manic panic. Love this blue. Note, I always bleach my hair before I dye it, so not sure how it is on unbleached hair.

This is brilliant such a vibrant blue !! It fades but still looks ok takes light grey hair really good .

Ormai sono sette anni che compro e uso unicamente questa tinta per capelli e non ho mai sentito bisogno di cambiarla. Contesto: parto sempre da una base castano scuro decolorato a 30 o 40 volumi con maschera viola a seguire per evitare giallo. Pro e contro di questa tinta: PRO: - Rimane per tantissimi lavaggi prima di stringere e, quando poi stinge, lo fa sui toni dell'azzurro. Molto più gradevole di altre tinte che scolorano sul verde - È estremamente satura e estremamente accesa, motivo per cui la adoro e non ho ancora trovato un valido sostituto - C'è molto prodotto nel barattolo e può essere diluito con il balsamo in modo da averne per più applicazioni CONTRO: - Più costosa di altre sul mercato (ma ne vale la pena) - Macchia tantissimo quindi bisogna usare guanti, coprire ovunque e soprattutto prepararsi ad avere magliette e federe macchiate per i primi giorni. Io ho una federa apposta per non sporcarne altre, ad esempio La consiglio moltissimo se volete ottenere un risultato acceso e super saturo!

Me encanta el tono, si sigues las instrucciones del envase el color queda muy bien y es bastante duradero, yo tengo decoloradas solo las puntas y el frasco pequeño me alcanzó para tres retoques
