Cornell University Press A Vulnerable System: The History of Information Security in the Computer Age
C**A
Adequate
While a serviceable introduction to the history of information security, by the midway point of the book you get the distinct feeling that you aren’t being told the history of information security and instead are being told a version of information security history that the author endorses. With phrases like “capitalistic endgame” and Karl Marx quotes thrown into the book it becomes apparent the author is trying to make a point more than convey information.
