Il Salone Milano Plex Rebuilder - 12.01 Iced Platinum

I had previously bleached my hair and it still had a yellow undertone, so I decided to try this yellow remover to dye my hair white. I understand that purple is on the opposite end of the color spectrum, thus theoretically neutralizing the yellow. After using this product, however, most of my hair is now somewhere between a light purple to a dull silvery gray, while the roots are still a very pale shade of yellow. Perhaps after a few more shampoos the purple and silver-gray will fade. ***UPDATE*** The purple, silver-gray did fade after a few washes! My hair is now a really pale blonde, almost white. Still the slightest yellow tint on the newly grown roots, but it’s still much better than before using this product. The last bit of yellow should fade after just a few more washes. Also, after bleaching, my hair was left extremely dry and brittle, so this product did help to add some moisture back.

I love the color or lack thereof this creates. Mine turned out exactly like the box. Was very happy with it. I am a natural blonde going white so this was a nice blend. Make sky hair feel soft and silky too.

I used Iced Platinum. The box showed it could make reddish hair turn white with silver highlights. My roots were just lightened, but they were reddish because my original color was dark blonde from another plex lightener that had the blonde tones too yellow. So I tried this, hoping to make it more white. I put it on my roots first. After an hour, there was no color change. They were slightly more grey-toned but still red, with no lightening. It toned the rest silver, not white. It makes a good silver toner, but it does not lighten. Back to bleaching first. I wanted to use regular dye, thinking it would be less damaging, but my bleach peroxide is better than dying it several times, trying to get the color I wanted. I use this peroxide called Yuthika Professional 40 Vol Hair Dye Developer, with a blue bleach powder, and it turned my hair white its works great. Just didn't want to keep using the bleach, but it made my hair soft, so I will go back to that. The plex conditioner was nice in this box dye, but sadly, the color did not show; very misleading. It was pretty gentle on my scalp, but still no good for dye.

This lightened my hair color beautifully, left it on much better condition than before hand. It is not a color stripper. Previously I had stripped my hair down to platinum blond, then used baby blue permanent hair dye. My hair grows fast. After 2 months natural color was growing back in. This dye did not remove all of the blue, just most of it. My natural hair color is a mix of salt & pepper - some of it dark, some white around my face. This dyed my hair ( apart from the blue) a pretty light ash blond color. Really lovely color, even, very shiny - strong & silky feeling. Unfortunately I am going to have to redye it a slightly darker color to cover the blue - do not want to strip it again. May try reverse streaking it with a medium ash blond. This feels like the best hair dye that I have ever used. Comes with a special packet to use after dyeing, plus another for after washing. Was not 100% good for me due to my special situation. Hair treatment from this company is about $22 per tube. More than I like to spend, but it may be worth it. My hair texture is the best it has felt in years. It strengthens hair and reduces breakage by 80% as well as making it soft as silk and full of body.

Color came true. I’ll take before and after pics when I order again.

Although it left my hair soft and not feeling dry, the color is not effective. I was a level 8 overall, I bought the 10.1 extra light ash blonde but it made no difference whatsoever it lightened up my level 7 roots a tiny bit, basically blending the overall look but did not quite give me the high lift to level 10 that I was seeking. The bonding plex might have worked and that on its own is good but colorwise it was a fail.

It is a great color. However, considering that it was supposed to be a High Lift Color, the developer should be 40 volumes instead of 30 volumes. So this product doesn't lift the hair to the level it promises. But, if you already have lightened hair and wants to tone it more permanently than a toner, I recommend it because the this color lasts months without washing off. The hair feels really soft, moisturized, silky and smooth. And the color doesn't smell bad at all. Didn't damage my hair, even though I let it process for 1h30m. Next time I'm gonna try to use this color with 40 volume developer to see how much it lifts. The best smelling hair color I've ever tried.

Love. Works very well got the results that I wanted.
