Not a sexy purchase but a necessary one to avoid expensive Super Automatic Coffee Machine repairs!
I wish I had the patent on this product as the price per ounce is astronomical! Having said that it is a necessity if you want to keep your Super Automiatic Coffee Machine operating with no issues and for that reason I appreciate that it works well.

OEM grease for a happy machine
The bottle is very small. Might give you two applications at best, but applied easily. Would be nice if the tip was perhaps a bit longer, but I used a Q-tip to get the grease in the hard to reach areas.

Necessary for maintenance, POOR VALUE
Food grade lubricant is necessary to keep my Philips 3200 Super Automatic running.Literally, it will not work if you don't keep it greased up. And you must grease it up at least once a month between weekly rinsing.First, the FORM FACTOR. This little squeeze tube is very hard and unruly to use. The tip is short and it makes it hard to get grease into the necessary spots, so you waste a lot of grease. Also, once you use up half of the grease, getting the 2nd half out of the tube is really difficult!Second, the COST. $7 for 5 grams of what is basically petroleum jelly. That's a RIP OFF. $1.40 per gram is a RIP OFF.Vaseline petroleum jelly currently sells on Amazon for $6.06 per 8.45 fl oz. Under the metric system, (Philips is a Dutch company), 8.45 fl oz is approx 250 grams. If Vaseline sold for the amount that Philips/Saeco is selling this food grade lubricant, a regular tub of Vaseline would cost $350!For that insane markup, Philips/Saeco doesn't even bother to give you an applicator tube that is better suited for the job.Of course Philips/Saeco says to only use THEIR food grade lubricant.I am currently shopping for other food grade lubricant. It has to be out there somewhere. I'm sure I can find some that doesn't cost $1.40 PER GRAM!This is obviously a maintenance money grab by Philips. The least they could do is put a lot more product into an applicator with a better form factor.I hope someone from Philips reads this.I love my Philips coffee maker, but I HATE this applicator. If Philips doesn't change this, my next coffee maker will be a Jura.
