This Thing Is Great Along with Tooth Brushing
I have a 17 lb Westie and she needs her teeth brushed regularly. I bought one of these a couple years ago and would use it occasionally when I wanted to give her a quick clean up between brushings. I just came back to order 6 more because I feel like she needs attention 2 times a day rather than 1 and this cleans a little different than a toothbrush so I figure I can brush her teeth at night like I normally do and then use this in the morning after she eats to freshen her up and hopefully have better results over all. This is so much better than a finger brush because you can feel what you are doing and get to all surfaces if you can get your dog to open it's mouth. I think the key with that is finding a toothpaste your dog likes. My dog likes minty sweet toothpaste and does not care for the chicken flavored ones but all dogs are different.I start with a clean one and first spray it with a little 3% peroxide to moisten. Then I add her toothpaste and rub it around to spread it out. You could also use colloidal silver. I like to use something antibacterial to make sure I'm not introducing any bacteria. Then I go over all her tooth surfaces front, back, top and bottom...Lastly I get the roof of her mouth and her tongue. All in all it does not take long at all compared to brushing and leaves her mouth smelling clean and fresh. We only feed her twice a day so no need food is going in there till dinner and we brush her teeth after dinner.I got 6 more so I would have 7. One for each day of the week. that way I can run them through the washing machine once a week instead of washing by hand and hanging to dry. I will probably wash them alone with a safe mild fragrance free soap. The one I have is 2 years old and while I have not used it daily it still has the grippy surface to scrub her teeth and gums.Great product

At first I thought what in world did I buy...
At first I thought what in world did I buy, but after using it on my two senior doxies I only wish I would have purchased years ago. This 3/4 looking eaten glove really cleans the whole tooth and they are more willing to let me gently polish a tooth than trying to pry open a mouth to insert a hard long toothbrush into a small dogs mouth. I already had some enzymatic toothpaste for dogs by Virbac that I bought with a three sided toothbrush).Virbac is awesome, highly rated or was when purchased. It is poultry flavored, had other flavors. So I decided since glove was sorta replacing toothbrush that I would use together and once they figured out that after each couple of teeth polished I allowed them to have a break in which they instantly licked their mouth/teeth and got the reward of chicken, how did Mom do that without food?...Virbac advises you do not allow them to have water for like 20-30 minutes to allow the paste to work it’s encymatic magic, I compare it to a fluoride treatment or cleaning for us. I do this just before bedtime, it relaxes them too and is a chicken treat without eating. I only wished I would’ve started this years back, my two are 17 and 16 so their teeth aren’t the best, but aren’t the worst either, their seniors...Yes you have to wash the glove, I use a little hand soap and hot water and wash in bathroom sink are wring it out, ay on counter or over towel each and by morning it is dry and ready for nighttime. I do this once a week, if they were younger maybe more , but they are retired and living the life, they also have Virbac chews, which really help, yes they are small rawhide pieces, but they clean the bejezous out of their teeth, I have even cut some smaller with a serrated knife and besides what do you think dogs/cats ate before these big pet food/treat companies started up, what we ate. Try this, I think you might be surprised and your dogs teeth and breath better.

Not a toothbrush
This is a glove like cleaner, not a battery powered toothbrush as advertised. Does an okay job for smaller dogs

Great idea but not sure it'll last
Still trying to figure out how to work with my dog to clean her teeth. We've tried everything so this one is letting us get into her mouth and do some wiping. It is a 2 finger, white, cotton glove with some pliable, barely there, white bumps on the tips of the 2 fingers. I am able to wipe the dogs teeth with it. I have laundered the glove a few times and am wondering if it'll only last a few more washings. The instructions are not in english - it's all foreign. I thing it would be better to sell several gloves in a pack so you can always have a fresh glove to wash and reuse. English instructions would be nice too.

Love these
So much better than a tooth brush for smaller dogs. I could never get to the back teeth with the smallest pet tooth brush. They actually last quite a long time. I hand wash with liquid detergent after using. They dry pretty quickly.

Nice concept but keeps getting caught in teeth
I really like the concept of this product and I like the small "footprint" in my cat's mouth. But the weave keeps getting caught in her teeth, which makes it difficult for me to clean her back teeth. It works great for her canines but it doesn't work well for her side and back teeth, at least for me. My cat is pretty agreeable to this process, but it keeps getting caught and I can't really get in there to wipe off any plaque.

Exactly what I was looking for
The finger and thumb brush has made daily brushing for my small dachshund a cinch. She fought me with tiny toothbrushes. I guess the bristles brushing against her gums felt weird or hurt her. She wanted none of it. This finger thumb glove and chicken flavored toothpaste is everything we both needed. I can feel her teeth so I know I’m brushing all of them. She even lets me brush the tiny teeth in the front... upper and lower! It took her a little time to trust me that I wasnt going to hurt her on those little front teeth; it’s a sensitive spot. She’s 15 years old and I cant risk the procedure for cleaning teeth at her age, so I am so thankful someone makes this! It’s just perfect. I do wish I knew of a way to sanitize it, but for now I just use soap and water every couple of weeks and rinse out thoroughly. If anyone has an idea for sanitizing it I would love to hear it! I also replace it every 6 months. Its a fantastic product for small dogs with tiny teeth! Oh, if your hand isn’t small, make sure to buy the LARGER one.
