Badger's Band: A Lift-the-flap Story: 8 (Tales From Acorn Wood, 8)

Badgers band is an absolute delight! The rhymes are fun and flow beautifully, and the pop-up pages are full of colour and surprise. It’s a charming, funny story.. my child loved every page I am collecting the set for my babies ..

This is a favourite from the set of books. The book is good quality and the folds dont easily rip. Great for engaging young readers

We first came across this series in a used book bundle and liked them so much that we've bought them all new since. The rhymes are great for little ones and the illustrations are cute (I particularly find it funny in Fox's Socks that he has ducks all over his house) Haven't given this yet as it's a gift but I'm sure she'll love doing all the instruments :) Fair price too. Age: We've been reading them to her since she was a tiny baby. Once able she loved doing the flaps and now she's nearly 2 she enjoys the stories and finishing the rhymes too. I don't think she's outgrowing them any time soon.

My child loves these books

My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed this book and all of the other books in the Tales of Acorn Wood series since she was about 8 months old. The illustrations are truly lovely and they have provided great opportunities for discussing friendship, woodland animals, and in this story, different instruments. It has been lovely hearing her attempt to make the instrument sounds and pointing out the different animals. The stories are on the simpler side, but I think this is where the books stand out for their specialism for babies and younger toddlers. Many story books are a bit more advanced for this age group and many books designed for this age group seem to be centred around non-fiction (in our experience), so we really have enjoyed collecting them all - I will always treasure them as the first stories and series my daughter has been interested in. As my daughter approaches two years old, I can see her interest in the series reducing somewhat. A slight shame about this book and the other books in the series is that some of the flaps are very small, and therefore fragile. My daughter has broken one of the flaps in this book and many in the others too, despite trying to supervise her as much as possible. Given that they are a series for the youngest kiddos, you would think the creators would plan for some rip-proofing or at least reduction in their designs; sadly not.

Delightful children’s book, sweet rhymes. My 3yo loves to read together.

Cute story with different interests -- a nice addition to the Acorn Wood world. My toddler is a big fan of these books, and this one is great.
