I am an avid puzzle-maker and this product is just what I needed. I like to work on my puzzles on a movable surface rather than tying up a dining room table, etc. For years I have been working off of a flat board that only accommodated 18" x 24" puzzles. This pretty much limited me to 500 piece puzzles (sometimes 750 pieces). This board is PERFECT for 1000 piece puzzles and it has opened up a huge variety of selections for me.The board itself is 20-1/2" x 29-1/2" so almost any 1000 piece puzzle will fit perfectly. Most 1000 pc puzzles are 20x27 so you still have a little room to spare. I was concerned when other reviewers wrote that the pieces "really stuck to the board" as I did NOT want anything that would hold the pieces in place, etc. After receiving and using the board though, I know what they meant. The board is lined with a felt-like material so the pieces do not slide around while you are working on your puzzle. They are still easy to move around though as you position and re-position.The board has about a 1/2" to 3/4" lip around the border which is great for keeping pieces from falling off, yet not so high that it gets in the way while you are trying to work. It is very sturdy, yet not so heavy that you feel like you are "lugging" it around. I find it very easy to carry the board from room to room when necessary.This product is also available in other sizes, so if you are fond of working on very large 1500 piece puzzles, they have a board for that size as well.In short, highly recommend this product. Perfect size, great quality, easy to move, and a nice soft fuzzy surface to work with. LOL Enjoy!

This review is for the jigboard 1000 pc. jigsaw puzzle holder.The quality is outstanding, I doubt it will ever need replacing. The lip keeps pieces from falling off, and the felt surface keeps them from sliding around.The color chosen seems to give the most contrast with puzzles, making it easy to match those "almost to close to tell" colors.Its lightweight enough to easily move from room to room, and paired with the jigsaw safes, your puzzles are now completely portable.With so much junk out there, I appreciate the thought and quality put into this product. I found Peter at Jigthings very prompt in answering questions and keeping me posted on availability.Next purchase.........the Jigthings jigsaw table. What a concept!!!

I love this board. It's relatively lightweight and easy to move. I appreciate that it has a raised rim and a surface somewhat like velvet. Puzzle pieces adhere to it just fine, even when the board is angled on the Jigeasel, but they are still easy to move. Good advice from the manufacturer: although this size works for almost all 1000-piece puzzles, there is the very occasional exception. All the1000-piece puzzles in my large collection work with this board except just one.

I bought just the board for a 1000 piece puzzle size and not the carrying case. It did come with the vinyl sheet to put over the puzzle if I do need to store it for a time. I have used the board several times for 500 piece puzzles. I like the firmness of the surface and the small lip on the board to keep pieces from falling off. The surface keeps the pieces from moving around. For sorting trays, I bought four cookie sheets from a dollar store. They work okay but pieces do slide around on them.

This was very good quality, came perfectly wrapped and smelled good? I know, right? smelled good - I think it was the fresh felt or wood, but the company that makes this takes pride in their work.I'd previousl bought one of those roll up puzzle saver things, and was very dissappointed when I opened that up. I couldn't make anything stay.So, I took a chance on this, and it is great. I am doing 500 piece and 1,000 piece puzzles on it easily. I don't know that is meant to travel outside so much, but we can easily move it around the house. The cat likes it, but I'm willing to share.The only downside, is the puzzles don't slide off easily if you want to save them or glue them afterwards. But, I'm willing to work around that too.I would buy this again, but I think with its quality, I won't need one for years and years. Go puzzles!!!!

This is a great invention ever made. The puzzle pieces don't fall out and don't move if you hold hanging. I love it cause i can now do my puzzles in the living room in my chair and not to big or heavy. I just can't say enough about this product. I'm doing a 500 piece puzzle on it right now and I have alot of room left. I haven't tried a 1000 piece one yet. So don't know if they fit on it yet. been mostly doing 500 piece ravensburger ones on it. Love the color of the felt makes it easier to see the color of the puzzle. I had the rollup ones and everytime I would roll it up the pieces would come undone.I just think after you get this you will never need to buy anything ever again. Just make sure you get the right size you want for the size puzzles you are doing.

A must have! I've had other boards, but this really is the best with the lip to keep pieces in and the flexible cover to keep the cats out! I really do love it. I purchased the table as well and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I have the larger board on my wish list - for some of those puzzles that just don't fit on this. I've had other puzzle boards, but they were cumbersome and even with folding up it seemed like some pieces were going astray.. this is super easy. and light enough to hold on your lap if you choose

This board (along with the puzzle table sold separately) is a great addition to building puzzles! The board has a velvet lining to keep your pieces from sliding, as well as a protective cover to lay over your puzzle when you're not building. It was a great birthday present for my mom!

Not sure why the current price is nowhere close to what I paid ($50) just over a week ago! It's a great investment for any puzzler - good quality & finish. Lightweight in a slim, low-profile design (just 1/2-inch thick) make it a huge bonus for condo life. Raised edges are just right too. The included JigMat is so useful! It's a two-sided cover that's black plastic on top and a matching felt on its reverse. This protects the work area when a puzzle is in progress and I need to store it under my sofa. I use its original box to store it safely.Dimensions given under item info. are inside the finished edges. as in, actual puzzle size. So, most of my 1000-pc puzzles fit on this board. Keep in mind, some 1000 pc puzzles can be bigger (check the side of the puzzle boxes). Printed instructions include how to restore shape if the board ever warps - weigh it down flat w/ heavy books for a day or two.Tip to help: I bought a folding, inclined bracket (ASIN# B07HDYH9CY) to use with this board.Puzzle shown: Jan Van Haasteren's Food Truck Festival.....beyond funny! :D Also from Amazon but unavailable. :-(

Since purchasing this puzzle board, I have not looked back. Gone are the days of making bits of puzzles on the dining room table before having to clear them away in time for dinner.The board is of excellent quality; sturdy without being excessively heavy. Easy to carry by yourself; I have managed to navigate this board up and down stairs without too much difficulty.In terms of size, I have found it to be ideal for all 1000 piece puzzles I have purchased, however I would double check on the sizing of 'panoramic' puzzles and oddly shaped ones such as circular ones you can buy, as I can't say whether or not these would fit.The material of the board keeps the pieces in place nicely with the dust cover serving as a very useful protector when not in use. Overall, tremendously happy with this purchase. It has been used over and over and I expect it to last for many more years to come.

... don’t know how I ever did without this before. Yes, you can do puzzles straight into a flat table without a board like this - but once you’ve started the puzzle, you have to leave it there, meaning the table’s then “out of action” for a few weeks. The absolute joy of this well made board is you can pick it up (carefully) with your puzzle on it and move it from room to room, and do your puzzle wherever you are in the house. Believe it or not, I have even taken it in the boot of my car on holiday with me with a half-completed puzzle on it, with the cover on it, of course.

I wish that this was still available to purchase on Amazon. I bought this for my aunt who enjoys building jigsaw puzzles.It is very well constructed. It is covered in a felt material all the way around which prevents the pieces from sliding around. There is also a cover that can be put overtop of the puzzle pieces while in transit. It is not made out of cheap plastic material. It is sturdy with felted material on the underside. Great to use with Jig puzzle table.Everything fits well and easily holds a 1000 piece puzzle. Would purchase again.
