Purchased the Now Foods Kelp Supplement To assist with hair loss. My hairstylist recommended I include it in my diet, apparently many people use Kelp to assist with this. Kelp is high in iodine, which our bodies require. The US would add high quantities of iodine to our salt, but over time they have decreased it. Unfair this causes our body to have an iodine deficit (i know, I’m a dork). Thankfully Kelp and other forms of seafood are high in iodine;) The pill is a gelcap. medium in size and easy to swallow. Slight aftertaste but not enough to be bothersome. I use this supplement when my diet is low in iodine, or low in seafood. I feel it does help and my hair loss has definitely decreased. I also use a haircare line with Kelp in it.
