Weight is not an issue for mine in a Chevy Colorado. I put 240lbs of salt bags in mind. And I can slide this. WHAT you need to look at is the dimensions, length and width, of your equipment verses the inside useable dimensions of the BOKS for full size. MAH

Is this supposed to come with the stap guides or any alignment hardware?

I ordered and received the mid-size version for my 2021 Canyon AT4. It came fully assembled with all hardware and straps attached. I was also pleasantly surprised to see two large carabiner clips attached to the end of the straps.
