Was an easy replacement for my trailer. Seems like piece of mind with new springs, axle and wheels/tires.

This axle is by far the best value I have found, even at local shops around Portland, OR. Grease fittings are a huge bonus at this price on this axle. The 5th star was deducted due to the u bolts being 3/8 inch, and washers too thin. Albeit the lock nuts were a nice touch, you still want to use loctite on this type of suspension part imho. During install the 3/8 inch u-bolts bent and stretched and I refused to use them. I called everywhere to find replacement u-bolts and nobody carried this size, furthermore I called the distributor: Northern Tool and they didn't sell the bolt kit by itself. I had to go get new u-bolts fabricated at a local truck shop out of 7/16 for me to feel comfortable enough with the setup. This kit is top notch and I would still recommend it to anybody looking to do a budget build trailer with a 2000lb max. My only hope is that they step up their game with the axle u-bolts, a slightly critical part to the system functioning properly.

Would have been nicer if it had some basic instructions

I bought this kit thinking it was made here, not China. I could've gotten a cheaper axle from there. It does seem to be built ok, but they need to be honest. Axle arrived with nothing else with it, that's not a kit. Contacted the company, was told to ship the axle back and order a new one. They don't have a part number for the leaf springs and hardware. This has been a bad experience. I don't imagine I'll want to do business with Northern Tool again!

everything is included

Easy to setup on a homemade utility trailer,grease fittings are covered by a rubber boot,that's a good thing,just wish they'd cover the ends better for shipping, they get scratched.

Value for money

I built a small trailer for hauling my quad on hunting trips and the first trip out bent the right side axle . The load rating is for 2000lbs and the trailer and quad combined weigh under 900lbs . Very disappointed in the quality and would like to get it warrantied but Amazon suggests contacting the manufacturer which I think is bogus as they don't back the products they sell .
