Be a scientist not a critic. These things work!
I was about to leave a bad review and ask for my money back when I read another review that made me think about testing other things. I bought these strips to test the PH for my Orchid fertilizer to make sure it was in the right range. The test for that in my tap water both came out yellow looking pretty much like the original paper but after I tested orange juice, Windex , rice vinegar, and a few other things the papers actually worked. If your paper turns yellow rest assured that itโs in the range indicated by the color indication strips.

Classic "old-school" PH strips
Although I have the Blue Guardian PH pen, I purchased these PH test strips specifically to use for Kombucha making. I didn't want to cross-contaminate my hydroponics PH pen in my Kombucha SCOBI. The strips arrived quickly and were packaged safely. My kombucha kit came with a kit of test strips that were white and easy to read. These strips were yellow and slightly more difficult to read precise measurements. However...it comes with so many test strips that you can easily re-test for better clarification. One key method to assure these work properly is to hold the strip OVER the colors, not off to the side. It worked decently for my application. Not great, but ok. I would (still) recommend this to others

Works great but for super neutral solutions it may be hard to tell exactly
So I first used this on my tap water which is pretty neutral (dark yellowish color on ph strip) It looked as if nothing changed but when i looked closer the color of the paper is fairly close to that of a neutral ph level then under the light I noticed a slight green tinge. I didnt know if these worked properly but after testing with different solutions of baking soda and vinegar I can confirm it works great. Hard to tell just how accurate your solution is, obviously with the colors being subject to interpretation i.e. how one actually sees colors or the type of light that its under. But for general purposes this is cost effective and works great. Thanks

Would Purchase Again
The test strips arrived as represented and promptly. I especially appreciated the pipettes. I would purchase these again. All around, an A+ experience.

Results unreliable
A bit of inconsistency in the results ! Once paper dries a bit with the exception of something very acidic all the paper strips look the same .

Not for accurate measurements
If you need anything more specific than, "Eh, this is probably a base," skip these. They're already the same color as something-in-the-range-of-neutral yellow, so if anything is between 6 to 8, you won't be able to tell if there's a color change at all. I discovered this by trying to measure my soil's pH and discovering that it's something in the range of neutral, which is pretty much useless info. Fairly annoyed by the inability to get an accurate measurement, I tested a substance of known pH--baking soda, which should test at 9.5. The baking soda got a result of something-that's-moderately-a-base green, which is a green that is not even remotely similar to anything on their color chart. I could use my imagination and put it between green 9 and green 10, but only because I already knew that the pH was 9.5. Otherwise it would have been a mystery. TLDR: Only buy these if you want one of three pieces of information--Look, it's maybe acidic; Eh, that's probably kinda neutral; or, Ooooh, a base!

Lots of pH Strips, good price, easy to use
I liked that I got a lot of test strips to run my class. The scholars could make a lot of mistakes and still get good results testing the pH of household chemical mixtures. I got more than 1 copy of the colors of the pH values.
