I've been debating on picking up the Little Snowie for some time now, and finally decided to pull the trigger instead of buying a cheaper machine. Texture, not quite like snow, but very close. Maybe twice the thickness of snow, most other machines seem to be about 10x the thickness of snow. So while not quite as good as fresh snow, it's very close, and beats out any other machine that I've seen. This is probably every bit as good as the professional machines, but doesn't require the use of custom ice molds. Ease of Use: 5/5 Product Quality: 4/5 Cost: 4/5 Snow Quality: 4.5/5 Noise: 1/5 Overall I love the product and would highly recommend it if you're interested in doing snow cones or slushies. My favorite thing to do with it is grab a cup of ice, dump it in, grind the ice (red dixie cups work great, my other cups have smaller rims that don't quite fill up the space and result in ice spewing out a little). It's crazy fast and easy to use, within about 10 seconds it will grind my glass of ice into snow, then I pour my favorite Orange Juice brand into the snow, and I get a nice Orange Slushie (one of my favorite things). But it doesn't require any prep-work, just grind and go, I love it. Cleanup is a breeze, I basically just let it air dry. The snow quickly melts and drips off, then just let it dry it out on the counter, if you wanted to speed up the process simply wiping it down with a dry towel would do the trick. The only real downside to this machine is how loud it is. It is extremely loud, but only for a few seconds, then you're done. I don't find the noise to be a huge issue, but it would be nice if they could insulate the sound a little so it isn't quite so loud. That being said, I would highly recommend it, even at the seemingly expensive price. The ease of use and convenience make it worth the price for me. And while it is made primarily out of plastic, there is nothing that feels weak or like it would break anytime soon. I plan on getting regular use out of mine for a long time to come. If you're sitting on the fence, debating on getting this product or possible one of the less expensive products that sounds similar, then hopefully this review will help you decide on which way to go. I don't think you will regret picking up the little snowie, but you may regret picking up the cheaper competitor products once you see first hand how large the ice grinds are.

I have had my Little Snowie for 18 months. It's not heen stored away once since I opened the box. I use it every day. If there's ice in my glass, it's shaved ice from this beloved machine. It has so many great features. Fantastic design. The lid that pops up, stays ajar, allows air circulation, brilliant so not to let things grow in a damp environment. It dries itself out nicely. It is fully dismantleable for thorough cleaning or blade replacement. I don't know when the shave blade will need replaced though. A year and a half of daily use, and it's still perfect shaved ice. Using regular ice cubes is awesome. If it required a special ice mold, there's no way I would use it daily. The produced snow is consistently just that, snow. It's like having a pro shaved ice stand in my kitchen. Worth the investment. This Little Snowie Max is so much awesome. It's powerful. The build is top notch quality. It is loud but fast. The loudness is normal for a machine that rattles around ice. I purchased a 12x12 silicone dish drying mat for Little Snowie to sit upon. As any ice shaver machine will do, it's going to have some drainge. The mat works great, so it does not sit in its own puddle. Little Snowie, you rock! I love you very much 💜

We got this snow cone machine a couple of months ago, and it’s been a huge hit with our family! We’ve used it multiple times, and it continues to impress us with how quick and efficient it is. Each snow cone takes about 30 seconds to make using roughly a cup and a half of ice. We’ve tried it with both bagged ice from the grocery store and ice from our fridge, and it works great with both! The machine came with snow cone flavoring that tastes amazing—a perfect treat on a warm day. My kids (ages 5 to 11) love setting up their own little snow cone stand in front of our house, and it’s become a fun way to bring our neighbors together. Everyone loves it! One of the best features is how safe it is for kids to use on their own. It only runs when the lid is properly closed, and there’s no way for their fingers to get near the blades. It’s also super easy to clean—we just let it air dry, and it’s ready to go next time. If you’re looking for a fun and kid-friendly snow cone machine, this is definitely one I would recommend. We received our Snowie a few days ago and we have been using it non-stop ever since. So let's go through this a bit. 1) We liked this machine because it allows you to use ice cubes instead of pucks. So, big plus for convenience; however, not all ice is created equal. We found the the ice cubes from our fridge's ice machine work wonderfully and create beautifully fluffy snow, but we tried buying a bag of ice when our fridge machine ran out (yes we used it that much 🤣) and the end result was thick chipped ice like you would get in a traditional snow cone. I have no idea why this is the case, but I suspect it has something to do with commercial ice being made with purified/distilled water. Our tap water is kind of on the hard side, and I think that might be a factor. Either way experiment with different ices if you're not getting the results you expect! 2) The dripping! As others have mentioned you may experience dripping from the output spout. You can reduce the amount of dripping by making sure you remove any compacted snow from inside the chute after use, and also do not leave any in shaved cubes in the reservoir. If you do get left over cube bits, just tip this bad boy upside down over your sink using the handle on the back. If these two conditions are met, just place a single paper towel under the spout after using and you won't have a mess. No need for a $40 tray. 3) Also on the list of things others have mentioned this thing is SUPER LOUD. It kind of has to be though. You don't turn on a blender to make a smoothie and then complain about how loud it is, so why should this be any different? You're chopping ice! You're only running it for 15 seconds at a time (it's super fast), so if 15 seconds of loud noise is too much for you, just skip this purchase. 4) The bottles that come with it are very nice to have, and they dispense syrups very cleanly and conveniently, but the syrup powders are garbagio. We bought RIO brand syrups because we're from the STL area and firmly believe that RIO makes the best syrups around. We put our syrups into the bottles and they work great. 5) the little shovel spoons that come with it are awesome! My kids love the two clear colored ones that change into red/blue when they get cold. They're a fun addition to eating these treats, and we've really enjoyed them. They keep us from using up all of the spoons in the house! 6) The cost savings! We calculated out that a 20 oz cup of shaved ice at a local stand runs about $4. With the cost of the syrups and the cost of the machine, we calculated that in order to recoup that cost we'd have to make 80 shaved ices. We've only had the machine for 4 days and we've already made almost 40 snow cones. Considering we're hitting summer this machine will have paid for itself 10 times over pretty soon. 7) Safety first! The design is such that you can't slice your fingers by putting them in the chute and you can't turn the machine on while a hand is inside the reservoir. I know some people don't like that you push the lid down to operate but it's actually a safety feature, and I like it so my kids fingers stay attached because kids do dumb things, and there's no need to temp fate.

I did not want to spend money on snow cones this summer, so I was on the lookout for the perfect snow cone machine. AND I FOUND IT! It is loud, so be prepared if you have animals or small children around or even sensitive hearing adults. The ice comes out perfectly shaved and not clumpy or rocky. We use Torani flavorings and a drizzle of heavy cream over the top. Extremely delicious. We have used it so much already that it has paid for itself in comparison to buying snow cones at a place.

Does exactly what’s it’s supposed to do .. snow cones in no time at all..it’s light weight and you can move it around easily..perfect size for countertops..it is some what noisy but it’s doable..I truly enjoy my snow cone maker

Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 is the syrup bottles came without pour spouts? I searched the box (tore it apart) thinking they feel into the bottom amongst the Styrofoam forms, nope, so they are unusable, a little disappointed but the machine is AMAZING! I just hope it will remain fluffy snow ice for a long time before needing blades replaced, cause I also hoped there would be a better care and maint book with it on how to order and change the blades if needed. So 4 stars for the periphery experiences, no syrup bottle spouts, no parts guide or how to replace blades guide. BUT the machine, makes the most amazing fluffy ice I LOVE IT!

After several days of researching different machines, reading reviews, technical specifications and all of that, I finally settled on purchasing this Little Snowie 2. The reviews were favorable and mentioned things that I was looking for in a shave ice machine. I also watched a few videos on YouTube from customers as well as the company itself and I was impressed with the ease of use, durability and simplicity of the machine. I admit, the ones made out of "industrial grade stainless steel" seem most impressive, however the comments in the reviews is what caught my eye on this one, and those positive comments are not without warrant. I am working in Afghanistan, it is nearing the hottest time of the year and with the current condition of the world (2020) we are not able to travel at leisure as yet. I usually get me some shave ice when I go home, but not so this year. I know the price tag may look discouraging, but it was worth it. It shipped here in a good amount of time, it was packed well and was not damaged. It worked perfectly right out of the box. I used ice bullets from the tabletop ice maker we have in our office, normally the ice maker would not be able to keep up ice production to make 10 snow cones in a row so I actually had started saving ice from the machine about 5 days prior so that everyone in our department could have one. The machine was easy to clean and I let it sit out with the top cover open to dry out If you do not abuse the machine, it looks and feels like it will last several years and you can purchase a replacement blade from the company when you need to. I set up a large metal cooking sheet to contain spills and drips from melting ice and then put the machine up on a large plastic food container to give better clearance for moving the cups in and out of the machine. The machine came with 6 powder flavor sticks, the "snow shovel" spoons and two reusable bottles to mix the powder syrup and two pour spouts. I also purchased several bottles of other syrups, like coconut, green apple, fruit punch and passion fruit puree. I like to have my shave ice the way they make it at home in Hawaii, with ice cream in the bottom of the cup, put the shave ice on that and pour the syrup over the ice, then top the whole thing with sweetened condensed milk. I am thinking also about buying ingredients to make the Filipino favorite, Halo Halo. The shaved ice came out pretty fine, though I have had finer shaved ice, but this was not the crunchy type of ice. The syrup soaked up nicely on the ice and did not all flow down to the bottom of the cup. It makes a full paper coffee cup size (grande) shave ice in a few seconds. I say a full hopper of bullet ice makes at least two of this size. My co-workers were happy and had nothing but good things to say about the cool treats. My next project using this machine will be virgin Pina Colada's. The machine was easy to clean and I let it sit out with the top cover open to dry out

As advertised, you pay for quality you get quality. This does not disappoint. Turns ice cubes into powder. Just buy it!!! Great for slushies as well.
