Zipper is plastic yes and true to size ? As for me yes I am 280 pounds and 5 11 and I purchased a 5 x and I wear a large vest underneath this jacket and it is fine not bad for the price also use it on cold days under 50 degrees seems to be ok but I live in California it usually not as cold as back east does the job

Is the inner liner removable if not, is it a fall jacket as well or is it winter

The inside liner is not removable. It is good in the fall and the winter . And it is comfortable in the spring also .. it is an all around a good coat for all seasons actually. I like mine but in cold cold I wear an hooded jacket under it .. Hope this helps ..

Does this have hood attachment capability

the jacket itself does not. you may find an aftermarket hood that may work with it but the jacket itself has no attachment hook-ups.
