It works, and works well.
I've used this product on rear differential gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, and water pump gaskets and it works very well. In my mind the main advantage is the fact that it's non-hardening, which means that in 3 years when you have to dis-assemble the the engine, or rear end, or whatever, gasket removal is MUCH easier than with a hardening or a glue type product.

this is the gold standard for coating head gaskets.
I use this on all of my subaru builds.. at least 30 of them by now. I also use this on my turbo buick race car. no leaks!

Excellent adhesion and sealing properties on hi compression diesel engines, never had a head gasket failure
