Easy guitar!
Gave this to an old friend to encourage him to go back to guitar playing. He lost a lot of initiative after losing his 2 best friends in the last couple of years. He is an excellent guitar player. I hope it helps him fall in love with playing guitar again. It has easy chords and is easy to read, even if you don't read music.

Yes!
What can I say except that this book allows me to more fully find my way of expressing this great music. I don't attempt to recreate the phenomenal talent and production values of the originals, but try to adapt the songs that, when they came out truly influenced the way I thought, felt, and perceived the world around me and the interaction of music with it. I've "played" many of the songs before, more or less by ear and following the playing of those I played with and listened to, but having the words and music together in front of me, I can play around with melody and expression to bring some of the feeling evoked by the music as and when I first experienced it. Truly enjoyable.

Great interpretation of the songs playable with only your strings and sounding authentic
Well done interpretations of each score. A little small to read at a distance, but for learning how to play the songs with only your instrument, you’ll find the chords almost perfect.

a very easy song book
I probably should have ordered the Complete Beatles in Normal guitar, not knowing just how easy this book was geared to. For what it is, it's a great book, giving finger placement instructions and "keeping it simple". But honestly, it's just a bit too simple, not really using the right chord at the right time on songs but that's my issue, not the book's.If you are a beginner, this is a great book. I pick up songs quickly so found myself wanting something a bit more like the original music immediately. I should give this a 5 star but didn't because I don't think the book description properly described the intent of this book, to only play the very basics, not sounding like the actual song or chords used in the recording.I find myself a lot not even recognizing the song I'm playing, but maybe it's just me.I love the Beatles and will search for something a bit more "complicated" and true to the song's roots.

Great for beginners
As a beginning guitar player, I really like this book. Can I play everything in the book? No. But I can play a half dozen songs and who doesn't like the Beatles song writing. Nicely laid out with drawings of the chords so you don't have to cross reference it to any other book. I borrowed this book at first from a friend and liked it so much, I bought my own.

Great for playing every song "right" without being technical
I have played something out of this book almost daily for over a year. If you simply want to play and enjoy Beatles and are not a profession performer this is the book you will go back to for all your fun.

but it was in excellent condition. the great thing about used is that ...
I bought the book used, but it was in excellent condition. the great thing about used is that I don't have to fight with the binder because since its used, the binder is stretched so that the book lays more flat than if you buy it new. so it sits well on the book stand. good price too.

Easy? Sort of. Complete? Not exactly.
The songbook has all the tunes I was looking for from the Beatles, so I gave it 3 stars for the song list. But if you are a beginner, as I am, looking for something you can learn to play with basic skills, this isn't it. The easy part comes from presenting the songs rearranged with mostly open chord forms, which of course makes it simpler for chord progressions vs. the originals' barre chords. But that's it. Time signature notation is mostly in symbol form on the stanzas that provide the music for the corresponding lyrics. Tempos are not noted, and you'll also need to be able to glean your own strumming patterns, too, because they aren't there either. For me, "easy" would mean strumming notation on a stanza, or at least a strumming pattern to get you started. Instead, that space is devoted to placing chord forms under every chord, floating above the stanza. So you're never left guessing how you form those tricky E-minors...just everything you're supposed to do with them. Without numerical time signatures, tempos, and strumming patterns, it's hard for me to consider this songbook "complete" and "easy".
