Have not been disappointed yet
We watch his shows regularly and ate at our first restaurant he had previously visited by accident. We were so happy we sought out three others on the same trip and also were not disappointed at all. We have now eaten at several restaurants he has visited and now have a guide to visit more. Bought this book while on the road and the copy I bought was in great shape and no issues

3 of the best D's
What more could a food lover want than diners, drive-ins and dives with a top down to drive. Guy Fieri has a sequel to his first book and it is enjoyable and definitely covers this all-American food. The book covers how the program 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' is made and who the crew is that creates this popular show. There are many black and white pictures of the people and places and Guy's top 5 pranks, how to eat in 'the hunch'. (The position to avoid grease and spills from covering your shirt.)The Northeast and Mid Atlantic, the South, Midwest, West and Southwest are covered, giving spots to get some of the great 3 D food. I do wish there were more states covered, only 22 are represented here, some states having several food places covered. Some history for each location is given, their address, telephone number and web site - if available. There are one or two recipes from each place. Guy also includes many side spots `Guy Aside' giving his personal thoughts. An index covers recipes by breakfast, burgers and sandwiches, condiments and sauces, starters, dinner mains, sides and sweets. There is also a list of all the restaurants that have been featured on the show, ones in red are in this book, those with an asterisk were in the first book and then the others that have been on the show; addresses, telephone numbers and web sites are given - a great resource. If you enjoy the show, or enjoy diners and drive-in, dive food- this is a book for you.

Diners Drive-ins And Dives And Much More.......
In this book we are given more background, and stories aboutthe Triple D's that have been visited. And of course along with those extras, we still get the recipesthat we all want.If that is not enough, we also get the skinny on the people thatare never seen, the behind the camera staff, and other membersthat make DD&D go.Guy Fieri has the ideal job, being able to go from coast to coast, and border to border, going to these eateries, and meeting ownersand local people, as well the folks that prepare all of those awesomedishes.Guy and Triple D, have been in my state 4 or 5 times, and my wife andI have eaten at most of the places that he visited. The book is spot on, as is the TV DD&D.To quote Guy.........Great Job.

More Diners, Drive-ins and Dives
The kitschy style of this book is what adds to it's appeal. It is just as "Off the hook" as it's author. While there are many places Guy has reviewed, it would be nice if he could include a few more recipes from some of the places, even if 'his take' on some are slightly different. (I realize that most of these recipes are proprietary, which makes the 'diner, drive-in or dive' the place that it is,) but I would still like to see more recipes included. Also, a "state by state" index would make finding the restaurants a little easier, instead of sifting through the masses.Bottom line: I would buy it again, make no mistake!

Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives # 2
I'm a current watcher of triple D, and enjoy the shows very much. I'm using Guy's books as my personal "BUCKET LIST" places to be try when I travel. And as long as you have a good GPS system it makes the food treasure hunt most enjoyable. I plan on trying some of the recipies, in my spare time at home. My only wish is that in Guy's next book (and I'm sure there will be one) he'll give us a small map for location, and hours that the D,D,and D's are open. some of them have irregular schedules, but all in all I think there worth the effort. Best of luck Guy. You have the job I know I'd enjoy the best

Fun but hardly a cookbook
This is an "Americana" book more than a "survey of food" book. I have to admit that Guy Fieri's voice is rather -- well, fiery -- I got a lot out of this book but frankly, I'd rather have re-read one of the old Calvin Trilling books like ALICE, LET'S EAT.

Good book
Good book- I like that it gives name and address of all the restaurants. We used this information on our trips to check these places out. Good value for the money- we enjoyed it

Not quite what I expected
This book does have some nice recipes in it, but they are mostly from one region of the USA. It would have been very helpful to be able to see where his recipes were from so we could have made a better decision on this book or one of Guy's other Triple D books. Not as many recipes as we expected, but lots of behind the scenes information which was often very funny.

Terrible. No photos of foods.
Do NOT purchase any Diner, Drive-ins and Dives series books. I bought 3 and was sorely dissapointed with all of them. They are more "his story" and the stories of the people involved in all the restaurants, than actual recipes. Even though there ARE lots of recipes, but NONE of them have any photos. You cannot make exotic food if you dont know what it LOOKS LIKE!?!! The printing feels they used an ancient mimeograph machine to run the copies. While the TV programme is worth it - these books are certainly a waste of space. Sad. NOT RECOMMENDED.

ease of use and info.
Not quite what I thought it was going to be but still enjoyed the read and the info will be useful when travelling around the USA

Highly recommended book 😊
I got this book after watching the TV show and wanting some of the recipes, this book covers 60 diners, drive ins and dives, so more than 60 recipes set in to breakfasts(7), burghers, sandwiches & dogs(13), starters(10), dinner mains(22), sides(12) and sweets(4). All recipes use American measures but are make able with a bit of organization.

For Guy fans
Dissapointed that the photos were only black and white . Otherwise a good wee book

Hmmmm
Admittedly the book captures the enthusiasm of the show, but the production values are very poor. Must be because I'm a limey used to Nigella/Jamie style cook books with wonderful art direction and food porn shots. Feels like a scrap book. Not a brand extension from a show full of vibrancy that shows how the US celebrates food. A let down.
