Sound volume of the module is controlled by the sound volume of your device * Press the FRONT button, it will start playing from the beginning, press again and it will stop playing, press again it will start from the beginning. If pressed only ones, it will play the full recording and stop * Operates by 3 AAA batteries (NOT INCLUDED). Once batteries die, replace them and unit will continue to play already recorded files. No re-recording required. * Unit will play only one recording. It will not play multiple recordings such as at each button press RECORDING STEPS: 1. Remove the back cover and insert 3 AAA batteries 2. Switch "ON/OFF" button to "ON" position 3. Plug double-sided audio adapter into your device and into sound box 4. Start playing the audio in your device and also, with sharp object like pen, push the small black circle on the front of the box to start recording (BOX WILL BEEP ONCE to indicate that recording started) 5. Push the same black circle again to stop recording (BOX WILL BEEP TWICE to indicate that recording stopped. If black circle is not pushed a second time to stop recording, it will beep twice automatically when the box reaches its max recording time limit) 6. Play recording by pushing the button on the FRONT of the box 7. ENJOY IT !!!

Great Sound Box
Great Sound Box. Easy to use and record whatever you want. The audio quality is not perfect, but it works well. The volume is good but non adjustable. The adapter it comes with is good for recording via a Laptop headphone output, but it will not work on an iPhone 7 or up. Also, the adapter tool is short, but you can use a simple male to male audio plug just the same. Again, for the price, this is a great audio box to record and playback anything you want. It's good for pranks, jokes, crafts, scaring the crap out of people, etc.

We ordered this to record my daughter playing my 100 year old grandmother's favorite hymn The Old Rugged Cross. This was perfect because she only had to press one button without accidentally erasing it.

Easy to use
This product was so easy to use and i like that it can be used over and over. The volume is a little low, but that was ok for the project i got it for. Kind of pricey for a 15 second sound byte, but i know it records for way longer than that. I hope the effect is worth it
