This is the standard coconut milk that others aspire to become. Read the review. Get the yellow curry paste. *Invite me over!
My wife is Indonesian and we eat a lot of Indonesian foods; Rendang, Fried Rice, Sate, and my favorite, Curried Chicken. Tamarind paste dissolves easily in this coconut milk. Unlike cheaper grades, this has plenty of coconut solids and coconut oil which is good for you. Amazon delivers this to the Post Office cheaper than I can buy it locally here in Alaska. One can of coconut oil and two big tablespoons of Thai yellow, red or green curry paste (seach for the paste here on Amazon) Mae Ploy is the brand we use https://www.amazon.com/Mae-Ploy-Yellow-Curry-Paste/dp/B000EICISA/ref=sr_1_sc_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1475549070&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=yellow+curry+pastean onion chopped, 1.5 lbs of boiled chicken breast (removes the infused salt) in a frying pan with 1/4 cup of canola oil to fry the boiled chicken in with the paste, then add a can of Chaokoh Coconut Milk and boil for 10 minutes or so, toss in fresh thin sliced carrots, potatoes, green pepper, snap beans, or whatever you have (frozen works okay too) and mmmmmm...you will love the rich creamy taste of this coconut milk and the Mae Ploy curry together. Hint: green and red curries are hotter, so go easy.

Coconut milk
Edit: Revising star rating to one star after learning this brand uses coconuts harvested by enslaved monkeys (not a joke)This coconut milk is great, and cheap.I was absolutely furious at the cans arriving dented. After punching several holes in my kitchen wall and spending the night screaming/crying into my pillow, I realized I had some old soup cans in the garbage bin. After thoroughly washing the soup cans, I was able to pour the coconut milk from its horrible, dent-riddled can into a PRISTINE, beautiful dent-free can with which I was more comfortable.Let me tell you, after spending a few minutes in the can with no dents, this coconut milk tasted amazing. It's a good work-around to a serious problem - I really wish they'd solve this issue so I wouldn't have to ride this emotional roller coaster every time I want a refreshing, ice-cold can of coconut milk.

Literally the only coconut milk I buy
This is by far my favorite coconut milk. It's thick and creamy and doesn't separate like other coconut milks on the market. Buying in packs of 8 has been really great to keep my pantry stocked.

Heavenly Coconut Milk
I don’t have the words to explain the immense superiority of this coconut milk. I still had some old cans of Thai Kitchen coconut milk, and I gave them away after I tried the Chaokoh. It has a far richer flavor and creamier texture than the other brands I have tried (mostly when the Chaokoh is out of stock). It is also the top rated brand on Cook’s Illustrated. Buy some Mae Ploy curry paste, some fresh veggies (+/- meat) and get ready for some amazing curry! If you purchase this product from Amazon, expect some of the cans to get dented in shipping. If dented cans bother you, Amazon will either refund your money or ship you some complimentary additional dented cans.

The product itself is wonderful & useful in a variety or recipes which is ...
I have ordered 3x from this seller, of them 2 out of the 3 resulted in dented cans when they arrived. I'm not sure if this is Amazon, or the seller who does the shipping but there is no consistency & this very much bothers me. Dented, corrected, then dented again.. The product itself is wonderful & useful in a variety or recipes which is the reason I tried again. I'm unsure if I'll make a 4th attempt though to purchase w/same seller. I do not feel that dented cans are safe to use & hate throwing $$ away. Only 2 cans in this last purchase of 8 were not dented. Like I said, love the product, but hate dented cans! My suggestion: USE the appropriate size box! You did this on the 2nd shipping, so I KNOW it's possible & place ALL of the cans in the same upright position, not some upright, some laying down - there should be NO free space in the box - as it was in the 2nd shipping which was perfect! Also, the bubble wrap was useless in this case, a little tossed on top - it did nothing to prevent the cans from shifting around [and perhaps is the cause for so many dents].

Great to cook with in place of heavy cream.
Works great with my Chicken Tikka Masala dish instead of the heavy cream the recipe calls for.

Missing cans most were dented.
Second time buying. Never again. Three cans were dented. One was missing. Zero recourse. Box beaten to hell. Can’t return it because it’s a food item. I didn’t trash the box. It was crushed when it arrived. Whatever.

Highest quality coconut milk
Chaokoh is by far the highest quality coconut milk you can purchase. It is recommended in many cookbooks including Stir-Frying to the Sky's Edge: The Ultimate Guide to Mastery, with Authentic Recipes and Stories. It is also highly recommended by professional chefs.Unlike the other reviewers I had no issues with my cans of milk being damaged in any way. A few looked like they had dents but it was actually just a pressure difference between the inside of the can and the outside. As soon as I broke the seal with my can opener the dent popped right out. They must can these hot at the factory which causes a pressure drop as they cool.
