PNY NVIDIA RTX A2000

Pros - arrived on time, used item in great condition, no obvious scratches or damages, wrapped and packed properly. Cons - item came with a full hight backplate bracket, which is different from the listing pictures of low profile bracket. It does not fit my desktop case. I can't even plug it into the PCIe slot to test. Wish this can be resolved as a replacement low profile backplate bracket is listed $25 on Amazon. Other websites show delivery in 3 to 4 weeks. Will update after contacting with seller.

Purchased to run in a desktop PC build intended for Solidworks, replacing an older PC with PNY card that was still functional but was showing it's age in speed. Have had good luck with PNY cards working seamlessly with Solidworks and this one does as well. Currently on 2022 and no issues/glitches noted. My experience is with medium complexity assemblies (<200 parts) and this card works great when paired with a newer CPU and storage (i9-13900 and NVMe storage). Value for price was why I bought this one. The cost increase for an RTX 4000 just didn't seem worth it, I'm glad I saved my $$. Finally - size. This card is SMALL. I was a little concerned when it arrived that I got shipped the wrong card. But don't let the size fool you - it works fine. And because the fan is also small, it's quiet! And although I'm not a gamer, I did hear that this card is somewhat comparable to an RTX 3050 or 3060. So I tried a quick trial install of Assassins Creed Unity and it seemed to run smoothly driving a 27" 2K monitor.

I bought this card to replace a Quadro P2000. I selected this card rather than a more upscale card because it didn’t require a separate power cable and only filled two PCiE slots. (There appears to be a shortage of double width cards because of nvidia’s forthcoming 5000 series.) The card is now functioning well and an improvement over my old card. However I noticed several peculiarities that are worth mentioning. The card is listed as an nvidia card. While that is true, the manufacturer of the card I received was PNY. In terms of quality, PNY. while a satisfactory manufacturer, is considered at the lower end by most reviewers. It still uses an nvidia chip set. When I ordered this card the price was $465. When I came back to the site the next day it was $480. Is this older card subject to dynamic pricing? There was no instruction sheet in the package. The filler bracket attached was a short height one, but a full height one was in the package. I tried to change to the full height one, but found it was attached with TORX screws. My T3 screwdriver was too small and my T10 too large. The PNY web site said the screws were T5. Luckily I ordered a full set of inexpensive TORX screwdrivers, because two screws were T5 and two T8. Given the likelihood of people changing the bracket, it would have been nice to have included two inexpensive TORX screwdrivers (or even better, using different screw heads). When I installed the nvidia drivers, they automatically switched my sound drivers to an nvidia sound driver which I had to disable to select a default sound driver that matched my sound card. None of this affects the performance of the card, which appears to have speeded up my Premiere Pro.

Malgré l'apparente qualité de ce GPU, il ne convenait pas à mon système. Il a fonctionné environ 5 minutes avant de sombrer dans un silence assourdissant. J'ai tenté de rejoindre le fabricant, mais son support semble se limiter aux É.-U.. Je n'ai jamais eu autant de difficulté me faire rembourser un produit, malgré la confirmation de retour par Amazon. Incompréhensible.
