Keeps the cold air in
Lots of options to fit all kinds of windows: my window opened sideways, its from like the 1970s. This kit worked wonders. Kept the cold air in and was easy enough to install

Way less gaps than the original
The original Honeywell portable AC vent was pretty uneven where I had to use painters tape to try to close the gaps. The hole where the hose is attached to was also very narrow that in a window where you had to slide part of it into the window slits in order for the whole window kit to stay up and to reduce any gaps of air coming from outside, there would be no room for the hose to attach to the board. This one gives you plenty of room to slide the window kit board through both sides of the window slits. The weather strips that came with the kit was useful as well. Some of the adhesive wasn’t very sticky but if you put the strips on right and they stay up, I actually felt less air coming in and out. This means even if I didn’t have my portable AC installed, my room was less hot and less cold.

Rodent screen can’t attach because exhaust hose has to attach…both won’t fit. Design flaw.
Design not thought thru. The screen to keep critters from entering CANNOT snap on once the exhaust hose is connected. And you have to force or break the plastic in order to make either one fit the premade opening.It wasn’t a precision cut.

Perfect fit for the IDYLIS Portable Air Conditioner
This was a perfect fit. Took a little time to put it all together but it was worth the effort.

Works better than the product that came with my AC. No hot spots.
I languished in the heat in my office this summer because I didn’t want to install my portable AC and deal with less than cool conditions and higher electric bills. I got this because of the promised benefits which I achieved immediately.. This was very easy to install and keeps the heat out. I didn’t even need the tape as it fit perfectly in my window. Money very well spent!

Adapter to small for hose
Difficult to find the correct size of adapter needed for my hose. The size of my adapter what’s lost is not in my instructions, which makes it difficult to find the right fit.
