RM-EZ4 2-Device Universal Remote with Big Buttons

This uncomplicated remote control covers all of the minimum controls needed to operate just about all televisions. I have tested it on 4 different brands of televisions and I find it works great. You can control your television inputs such as antenna or cable and you can control your choice of television's inputs. The only button that hasn't worked on any of my televisions is the sleep button. Other than that, the control is small and light and has a nice comfortable feel. It's great if you have visitors who are not tech savvy and get intimidated when handed outrageously loaded remotes. This one will make them smile.

Ordered two. Neither worked.

WELL: Bought this because my old one was going away fast I have an EMERSON TV about 4 years old. This unit was able to SCAN for the CODE and activate the TV. HOWEVER, where I live I use an outdoor antenna and most of the local channels use a DECEMIL, in the channel number, EXAMPLE 7.1 , 13.5 , 43.6. , and this remote will not do that It has the button with the period or DECEMIL, it flashes the red light BUT WILL NOT GO TO THAT CHANNEL. As shown above , it will go to 7, 13, 43, but not the .1 , .5, or .6 So is this unit BAD

My mom understands this remote control better because the volume & chanel buttons use the same symbols. Imagine that. It might seem funny to say this but all the other remotes controls use up & down arrow symbols for chanels and plus minus symbols for volume. Also, using plus plus & minus symbols make my mom think this is a calculator. This confuses my mom. Why not be consistant & simplify things by just using up & down arrows for both the volume & chanel buttons. Well, this control does just that. And, there are less buttons to confuse and the buttons are big. Great product.

This remote is very light and cheaply made. I have a feeling once it's dropped, it will be destroyed.

I bought this for my cousin who is legally blind. It is simple to operate and has just the essential buttons needed to operate her TV/Viewer/Computer. The buttons are large enough that she can read the numbers and tell the difference between increasing or decreasing volume and changing the channel up or down. After the frustration of trying to get her other remotes with so many small keys to work she declared that she believes she can get this one to work For her that's a life changer.

Never could get it set up after many tries, over many days. Instructions are a bit confusing. I finally gave up and am returning it. I got it because I needed it only for one tv without any components, which should have made it easy. Done these before with no problem. Wish Radio Shack was still around. Theirs lasted for almost 10 years.
